No previous Microsoft laptops were compatible enough to fulfill the purpose of designers but the Laptop 3 models with 15-inch and 2496 x 1664 resolution proved to be a close competition to MacBooks. It’s sleek and stylish and what adds to it is the Surface Pen. The 15-inch version is fitted with 8 GB – 16 GB RAM. Alongside this, it has the added benefit of a reliable GPU chip, essential for designers, adopting either an AMD Radeon Vega 9 or RX Vega 11. However, there are a couple of fallbacks to the Surface Laptop 3. The battery life is not really good and there aren’t many ports as you’ll still need to go for a multi-USB peripheral if you have lots of accessories.

The Dell XPS range laptops are one of the best of Dell’s entire range. The display of 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080, or 3840 x 2160 resolution is framed in a thin and classy frame. 8th gen Intel Core i5 to i7 processor and the storage capacity of 128GB SSD to 1TB SSD makes it a very powerful and strong functioning laptop. Though it’s a bit heavier and might give you a tough time in portability, it comes with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. 5. HP Spectre x360 15

Claiming to transcend expectations, HP Spectre x360 is definitely a perfect buy for the graphic designers. The 15.6-inch display and 3840 x 2160 resolution paired with 512 GB storage is everything you need. The laptop has an exceptionally good battery life of 17.5 hours and is as chic as the Dell laptop. It also renders a free stylus and Intel HD Graphics 620 graphics card. Alongside this, the Intel Core i7 – 1065G7 processor makes heavy functioning easier for you.

6. Apple MacBook Air

Cheaper than the MacBook Pro, Apple MacBook Air can be your best choice if you’re into designing and illustration work only. But if heavy video editing and 3D artwork sounds like you, then you better spend your money on MacBook Pro. MacBook Air has a fair 13.3-inch display and 2560 x 1600 resolution. The battery life is quite good and the 8th gen Intel Core i5 processor won’t disappoint you either. Though the 128GB SSD storage isn’t quite sufficient but is good for the price. MacBook Air has a Graphics Card Intel UHD Graphics 617 and will definitely last almost forever.
