This was my 3rd time to play this same adventure. I first played through Adam's Venture Episodes 1, 2 and 3. They didn't cost much, so I appreciated the simple game, which still was funny, beautiful and family-friendly. Those episodes aren't available anymore, instead there is AV: Chronicles - a same game with a little bit remastering. There also Evelyn's hair color had changed from blondish to brown, and episodes had moved to chronoligally "right" order. So this one is already a remastering's remastering, or is it a remake. at first the game was good as it was, but not SO good it should've been made three times within quite a short time. I regret I didn't check at first what the game was about, still the same adventure, and now I lost three times as much money as I paid for the first version. I also noticed that the first puzzle, where you have to make gunpowder, had been simplified, and I quit the game right away. Buy this to waste your money.. Although this game is supposedly a "reimagination" of Adam's Venture Chronicles , it just feels like a poorly done remastered version. There were maybe only a handful of new areas that weren't included in Chronicles. According to the developer , the content and most puzzles are the same with the prime difference being the new look to the world and new game engine. I enjoyed playing Chronicles more than this. Definitely don't buy both games. Pick one and only play one. Essentially everything I said in my review of Chronicles applies to this game. The differences: This game is no longer episodic, the story merely continues in multiple chapters. There are no longer hidden chests to find. The player can now control camera movement. Jumping no longer pushes Adam backward. I prefer all the character skins in Chronicles over Origins.. A bit very short 3D remake. Get it with a good discount & enjoy it if you play it like me 2 times before & yeah it could be much more, more details, more different riddles, more secrets not only a gate & a b.k but its okay if you get it for a low price.. Good Game but Story is a Little Short fr 37 Euro Took me 2 , 7 hours to complete the game. Game appears to be a clone of Chronicles with some changes to the puzzles. If the controls were not so wonky I would have given this game a better review because it does have nice graphics. Well after playing a few times and using a regedit change I was able to not only lower the resolution but also it corrected the controls problem I had. Now I would have to say its not a bad game and is better if you can get it at a sale price.. Crashes and it is horribly voice acted and scripted,. i realllly wanted to like this but i wanted to claw my eyes out while listening to the horrible dialogue 3/10 for trying.. Well where do I even start with this. Words that spring to mind are linear, boring, linear, linear, mechanics, gameplay, linear.wait did I say linear? Just making sure. You would never have thought this game was released less than 2 years ago. Now baring in mind that there have been at least 3 previous games made some time ago, which were linear and boring as f*ck with terrible mechanics, you would think that they would learn. I have not dug deep enough into whether or not this game was made by the same devs because I don't care. You expect to see improvements and you get nothing. Literally nothing. In terms of graphical quality, you would think you are playing a game from the mid 2000's, similar to details in a fan modded upgrade of Half Life 2 at BEST. The story is rubbish, the characters are rubbish with no personalities, the voice acting and dialogue is TERRIBLE, the game mechanics are slow, clunky and just don't work and it is as about as linear as that long straight road you see on many canvasses which runs through Colorado. No wait, it's as linear as the painted line on that long straight road. And yet this is supposed to be a bit of an adventure game. I could go on and on and on about the gameplay and mechanics but I can't be bothered. What p***ed me off more is this was my 100th perfect game and it's just a shame this had to be it! Don't waste your money unless this is on a big sale discount.
