About This Game

The Endless Court is eternal, ruled by Immortals who have guided the four races of the world since the dawn of time. But they seem very concerned with preventing anyone from studying the broken ruins that litter the world, and peace is more fragile than it seems.

Felana is one of the historians at the margins of society, oppressed by the anti-scholarship edicts of the Endless Court. All she wants is to take care of her daughter and study in peace... but as war brews among Immortals and her knowledge suddenly becomes troublingly relevant, she isn't going to have that option.

Pretty hilarious story, the town's archeologist is also the town's biggest w-hore. How big a w-hore? She bought a house with a small garden, raises a kid, buys supplies in bulk, and lives well enough to have a geological hobby. Does her kid appreciate her mom subjecting herself to the town's disgusting smelly human-vats of STDs? Nope.. I'm really happy with how this game came out. The plot is good, the puzzles are challenging, and the twists are entertaining. I don't even care about the H content (not that those parts aren't good and well written - I liked them a lot) but that the game is very enjoyable with or without it - the mark of a good game. Some of the characterization I think could have used more fleshing out, but after playing The Last Sovereign (omg, Sierra, I love that game so much, I can't wait for it to be finished) I think I'm just a bit spoiled. I've already played through twice, and loved every minute.. GRAPHICS
- Better than standard RPGmaker, and in the same relative style. Expertly made custom map tiles, enemy sprites, and expressive, evocative character art are among the standouts.
- Fantastic art. Whether or not you use the decensor patch, there's a ton of gorgeous, hand-drawn scenes that genuinely impressed me.

MUSIC AND SOUND
- I'm terrible at reviewing music and sound design, but I will say this: with almost every game, I usually turn the sound off and listen to other music eventually. With Desecration of Wings, the music and sound are used very well, carrying moods and themes expertly, and are an integral, enjoyable, and immersive part of the experience.

GAMEPLAY
- The difficulty curve of this game is masterful, with tactical options available to suit any battle. The experience curve feels brisk without being too fast, and the characters grow strong as the game continues to challenge them.
- I personally didn't find any need to grind, going place to place and not avoiding every battle gave me enough XP, Sols, and TP to meet each challenge as they came.

STORY AND WRITING
- This is where the game shines. The story is fantastically paced, and does a good job at teaching you about the world without shoving it in your face.
- The lens through which the player sees the story is expertly crafted, letting you see through a unique perspective; a perspective that gets to see kindness, growth, and wholesomeness in a cruel, judgmental, and visceral world.
- The dialogue is exceptional. The main characters have very distinct character voices, and I could easily tell who was speaking while covering up the face. Information is conveyed at the same time as character development. I would have to say that the dialogue is this game's strongest point, even considering the game's other strong points.
- Desecration of Wings has easily one of the most healthy, positive perspectives on sex and romance that I've ever read. Instead of the usual depiction of prostitution as an unfortunate circumstance, a mistake, or immoral, the lens the player views the story through instead shows harsh judgment of sex work as being cruel or immature, and it does so through how the story makes you feel, rather than by explicitly stating it. The game explores sex, romance, love, kinkiness, tenderness, consent, and bodily autonomy with nuances and respect that I've rarely if ever seen in any other media.

OVERALL
- In summary, Desecration of Wing is an exceptional game that combines well-balanced JRPG-style gameplay with a compelling plot, thoughtful, well-written dialogue, and an elegantly conveyed empathy. I bought this game on sale, but knowing what I do now, I'd have gladly payed full price.. If you don't know who Sierra Lee is, you're probably underestimating this game. She's one of the only truly great RPGMaker creators, maybe the only one whose work you can actually find on Steam right now. To say that she's probably the best active adult-RPG maker would be damning her with faint praise; at least in terms of narrative, characterization, charisma and quality of game balance, there's really nobody else who's comparable in the field.

If you're not interested in RPGs, and are really just looking for a porn game, this probably isn't the game for you. There is sex featured in the game, with explicit scenes if you patch them in, but the sex isn't the focal point of the game, and if it's all you're there for, the game is probably going to lose you.

On the other hand, if you're interested in RPGs, but don't have a high opinion of adult games, I'd suggest giving this one a try. Patched or unpatched, it's a great RPG with an engaging and unconventional plot and cast (by the standards of either mainstream RPGs or adult ones.)

Intellectually arousing story, Hardcore narrative pacing, Double Penetration skills for high defense mobs, Eldritch horrors that you can have meaningful relationships with, this game has it all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rating 9\/10 (Adult Content, Epic Story, Great Battle Mechanics)

This is another excellent RPG Maker game that I recommend, except that this game has unique adult content. This game also have a very interesting and epic storyline and great battle mechanics which I will explain below.

1. Adult Content
The steam version of this game is the "sanitized" version, where the naughty bits are all censored. However, you can download a patch that will remove the censorship so you can watch the game in its intended form. So, the user can decide to have either the censored or the uncensored version of the game. The story is also interspersed with explicit description of erotic scenes.

2. Epic Storyline
This game actually has an excellent and epic storyline and not does not just focus on petty banality. The content deals with racial inequalities (creatures with wings dominate those without wings), social injustices, political intrigues (different factions trying to hurt each other) and lots of betrayal and falsehood.

The protoganist in this game is actually a poor single mom trying to make ends meet. She is a academic historian doing research on ancient ruins as a full time job. She also has a side job as a "lady of the night" trying to make money to support her daughter. So, as expected, money is very hard to get in this game. Grinding give you limited money because only humanoid enemies drop them, and the other monsters only give you XP. You have to be very selective in what you buy in this game.

3. Great Game Mechanics.
This game has a very interesting game mechanics. As you level up, your maximum Skill Points will increase. You are free to select various skills for each character, as long as the total number of skill points are less than your maximum skill point for that level. Now, you learn skills mainly from equiping and using gears (armors and weapons) for some duration of time. Since money is hard to come by, you are free to circulate the same piece of armor to different team members so that they can learn the skills from that piece of armor. For example "Armor of Shadow" will give you the ability to Counterstrike with Critical Hits. Some gears will also give you passive abilites like HP (level 1-5), MP, Strenght, etc. So, in this game, you are free to strategize and decide on what skills to pick, based on a very limited amount of skill points.
