ContinueAdderall Vs. Ritalin
Adderall and Ritalin are two similar kinds of drugs that are useful in treating the symptoms of attention- deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD. Both of these medications are so similar in the way they work that people often confuse them.
Both Ritalin and Adderall can help people with ADHD to focus on a given task and keep their impulsive behavior under control.
What Is Adderall?
Adderall is a medicine that contains four salts of amphetamine. It belongs to the category of the central nervous system (CNS) stimulants and helps treat conditions like ADHD and narcolepsy. Some people also use it for recreational uses, or to increase concentration while studying. This medication comes under schedule II of the controlled substances act, so one will need a prescription to buy this drug.
What Is Ritalin?
Ritalin is the marketing name for the drug Methylphenidate, which is also a CNS stimulant useful in treating symptoms of ADHD and narcolepsy. Many doctors consider this the first in line medication to prescribe to people with ADHD. Because of its effects on the brain and the nervous system, it also comes under schedule II of the controlled substances act.
