Frozen 3: Everything You Need to Know

Talking about the Disney media franchise, the American animated film ‘Frozen’ tops the list. It is a feature film directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, initially released in 2013. The film took inspiration from a fairy tale named ‘The Snow Queen’ by Hans Christian Andersen.

The film was a huge success at the box office and not only this, but it also earned two awards in 2014 for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. Also, the film earned an amount of $1.2 billion globally. Along with it, a sequel was announced in Disney’s annual meeting in 2015, and Frozen 2 was released in 2019.

All the fans are expecting a return of Disney’s most loved film Frozen with its third part after the success of its first two segments. “It seemed like an end after the first one, but Frozen 2 came out. It seems like an end now, but we never know,” Jennifer said to the media. On the other hand, Buck mentioned that “Frozen 2 was huge after which the audience has demanded its next part, and we can’t leave the shot.”

Even if Frozen 3 gets a green light from Disney, the fans will have to wait until 2024 or 2025, assuming that it took six years for Frozen 2 to release after the first one.

A Frozen movie is incomplete without Anna and Elsa, played by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, respectively. Thus, it is evident that we could expect a return of these two characters in its next series.

For the ones who haven’t seen Frozen 2, this might give out some spoilers. Frozen 2 revolves around the journey of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff, who leave their kingdom of Arendelle to discover Elsa’s powers. The story shows Arendelle’s past and a lot of events unfold during the movie. Frozen 3 is most likely to pick up from another threat that’ll try to destroy the bond between Anna and Elsa.

With the success of the first two movies, a franchise was announced by Disney known as ‘Frozen Northern Lights.’ It is a well-developed brand today, consisting of books, animated shorts, and TV specials. No trailers are expected to release anytime soon as the movie is still not confirmed. However, the audience is rooting for another sequel to happen. If you haven’t watched the first two movies of Frozen, they’re available to watch on Disney+.
