so now i know what i needed, im rly critical, cant stand most games these times, i love realtimestrategy, but hate micro and always the same basebuildung, i love turnbased strategy/rpgs, xcom2 for example, but only heavy modded, but there isnt so much out there, either the game is too short, not good, i dont like the combat system(like dungeon and dragons) or u have to stealth alltime(like phantom doctrine) this game i love from start, hope for more, sad its just one dev, with a real indie studio with more people this game could have far more content(bigger maps, more classes for example), but its not a flaw(i just shouldnt think about what could be), for me this game is more than good enough(great idea, content so far for an early acces of one dev, graphics, combatsystem) and the price is more than fair. Really bad UI with broken English throughout the game. Gameplay is a shallow X-Com clone combined with FTL map movement. Interactions with NPCs are abrupt. (Killed some bandits? Returning to the quest giver gets you a "All done!" option to which you get a +credits response. Despite being EA, it's quite lacking in polish. All of that said, hopefully the developer can flush these issues out and if so, you will have a decent low-budget tactical space romp that might be worth the $10 at that point.. Despite early access, this is a charming little game that blends XCOM and FTL mechanics. Obviously there's a lot of development to be done on it yet but the dev seems to be very keen to keep the process moving.. For now the game deserve a 3/10 , but the idea is good. It lack mission diversity for now , i feel like it miss so management option too , maybe more classes would be nice. But its a Early access , i trust the developers , pretty sure than one or two years from now this will be my favorite game. Please Don't abandon it , i trust you on this one.. The game is in Early Access. And you can tell, its a bit rough. But the Dev is working on it daily. You can see where he was inspired and you can see where he put a lot of love into it. In time, this will be a fun game I'll put a lot of hours into. Its going to take a lot of dedication, but he's shown it so far.. FTL + XCOM + Mass Effect. Excellent game that you can play in small chunks of time.. It was a good game I was recommended playing this game by a YouTuber I subscribed.. [Switching from negative to positive just because of the developer's response, which was honestly more civil than my original, pre-edit review deserved. He's got a vision to address some of the customization deficits, and his responsiveness makes me want to give him the benefit of the doubt.] This is a game that could be good, even great, but too many flaws bugged me. Graphically, character models and animations are lacking. They went with. I don't know, something from the early 3D era (Playstation, 3DO, Dreamcast). There's a reason those games don't hold up well today, while many cartridge games from the prior gen still do. Environments are nice, but I just didn't like the character models at all. Maybe more outfits would help, but I really think it's something more fundamental than that. Gameplay is promising, but frustrated. On the map, everything is slower than it needs to be. Everything you do has a cutscene and no amount of button pressings will skip them. Even picking up quests at a station is cumbersome. Combat is middle of the pack in the genre, and really hampered by the lack-luster character advancement options. Also, stun-locking is a bad mechanic. Losing an AP is one thing, but complete stun is frustrating. Customization is weak. So far weapons and armor are just incremental improvements over each other (no armor to light armor to medium armor, each providing a +3 armor bonus and nothing else from the last upgrade. Yay.) You don't get to level up any stats, just choose 1 of a small collection of ho-hum skill perks. Ship upgrades are easily the most promising concept the game explores, but there's just not enough there to really be interesting. Don't come into this expecting FTL or Thea quality design. I appreciate what the devs tried here, and I won't ask for a refund, but man - these guys really should have spent some time at the drawing board.
