How often do students experience stress in college?

Dealing with stress and anxiety at college is not easy to do. Especially during the first few months of classes, you will be surprised at how hard it can be. The first place you should look is in the mirror. Everyone can admit that a poor hair day or over-active could have been the reason why you're stressed out. If your mirror says stress, the best way to deal with it is by engaging in some type of activity to get rid of stress that will show it off for others to see.

Something to do is walk around for a few minutes, but not just any kind of activity will do the trick. Try to find something that is challenging. Something that requires concentration, thinking and attention will help you as well. Just remember to take breaks when needed as well, but don't make it an hour long or a three-hour marathon. You will need to find something that you can do on your own for a minute or two. Plan your activities in advance. So that way you know exactly what to do during those times when you get stuck and cannot get out of your chair.

You can also use a method called de-stress to help you in the process of dealing with stress and anxiety at college. De-stressing is just as good as engaging in a fun activity to clear your mind. It will take the edge off your energy and make you less stressed. This can be done at home or in the comfort of your dorm room. There are many methods of de-stressing, so just choose the one that works best for you.
