He single handily can win games for his team when he is on form. The closest that I can compare him to is Michael Jordan. Jordan single handily won games for the Bulls in clutch situations and important games. Messi has done this and this is an amazing feat when you consider that he plays in a sport that is considered to be a "team" oriented sport.
