TIP: If you like to surf safely-Porteus is for you. Make all the adjustments you want,download and stock the modules you want, then to save your settings go to the "Porteus Settings Center." Pick the THIRD option to "save the current session to a MODULE" You will get a "save" module you can backup, transfer to a flash drive, or swap in and out with other save modules. Make modules for your favorite purpose!
Porteus is truely the OS you can boot on your elderly parents computer and they CAN'T break it. Just tell them to reboot, and all is well.
Modules mean you can make it "thicker" or "thinner" as your needs change. I pair mine with a programmable keyboard, and my passwords, etc. reside on the keyboard. My new favorite OS!

fun, easy, simple, small & lightweight. everything puppy does, but better.
it makes the old HP Thin Client (powered by 1GHz AMD Sempron & 2GB flash - no HDD) works like a blaze. Never loved the Thin Client like this before, and everything works like a modern OS (I use the LXQt).
Concept of modules and always fresh option is awesome. I like it!
