I am trying to update a legacy product from XP embedded to Windows Embedded Standard 7. This legacy product has an AD1986A codec with the following Hardware Ids:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DE&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_02 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DE&SUBSYS_00000000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DE&REV_02 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DE PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DE&CC_040100 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DE&CC_0401.
I have unsuccessfully installed with both the Realtek Audio 6285 and 6305 drivers. In both cases, on the general tab, I get: This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Is there some secret sauce someone could share, or any advice on debugging? Note: Device Framework, Device User Experience, Composite Bus Enumerator Driver and Microsoft UAA Function Driver for High Definition Audio (HDAudio) are all part of the answer file.
I am also aware that this codec can operate in HdAudio mode as apposed to AC97. I have successfully installed a driver in that mode, but unfortunately there is a loss of functionality when working in this mode and the codec does not seem stable, hence I really want to try and get an AC97 driver working.
