Good clean puzzle platforming fun, now with co-op. Lode Runner Legacy is an admirable sequel to 1984's Lode Runner. Gameplay is recreated faithfully, and the digging mechanic is still genius. In addition to 150 original stages, Legacy includes 150 remade levels from the original, as well as an editor and online sharing.
I do have some nitpicks with the menus and other inessentials, but Legacy is a well-designed action-puzzle game with an enormous amount of content.. Controller support is broken. Refund requested.. The first thing I will say is that I for one am and always have been since it first came out, a big lode runner series fan. Now I will admit that my favorite ones of all ever (and there are actually a wide range of lode runner games to choose from and on I most honestly admit quite an expansive range of gaming platforms too) are Lode Runner Legend Returns and Mad Monk's Revenge. I also have to recommend Lode Runner 2 on pc and mac aswell (I for one played it all the time on the mac and loved it to bits on that, still do even, as of Legend Returns and Mad Monk's Revenge).
But as for this title on steam, though nowhere near as awesome as any of the episodes I have just mentioned, nonetheless a pretty good game for the price, pretty cool lode runner version and most definitely worth downloading if you are a fan of the series. For the reason that I myself am such a fan and did see such good in this game, I would recommend it. For anyone who doesnt like the Lode Runner games and whom never really got into it, might want to look it up on youtube or find someplace on the internet where you can play for free (which you can easy on loads of different free game websites out there aparently) first.. https://youtu.be/evM_1rXyYn0. The developers did just that for this remake of a very old classic.
Save your money don't buy this hokey remake.. Excellent once you tweak the controls which is very easy to do.
