Kailer Yamamoto is certainly week to week for the Edmonton Oilers because of an ankle injury.

The forward was injured during a 4-2 win against the Los Angeles Coca Cola iron on transfer Kings on Sunday. He had one assist in 16:58 of ice time.

Yamamoto has 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 21 video games with Edmonton since his recall from Bakersfield of the American Hockey League on Dec. 29.

Edmonton acquired forwards Andreas Athanasiou and Tyler Ennis in separate trades with the Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators on Monday. Defenseman Mike Green was traded to Edmonton by Detroit the day before.

The New York Rangers spoiled Jean-Gabriel Pageau's debut with the New York Islanders when Mika Zibanejad scored 28 seconds into overtime for a 4-3 win at Nassau Coliseum on Mon.

Zibanejad won it with a one-timer from the slot after Brock Nelson tied it 3-3 with 17.9 mere seconds leftover and Semyon Varlamov pulled for the extra skater.

Pageau, who was acquired in a trade with the Ottawa Senators on Monday, scored in his debut but missed most of the third period after instigating a battle with Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba.

Artemi Panarin gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 17:02 of the 1st period with a wrist shot from the left circle after a cross-slot complete from Ryan Lindgren.

Greg McKegg redirected Brendan Lemieux's one-timer from beyond the circles to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead at 7:48 of the second period.

Islanders defenseman Andy Greene remaining the game in the initial period due to an upper-body injury, and ahead Michael Dal Colle still left with 14:08 remaining in the 3rd period after being hit by Trouba.
