There's always at least one jackass that leaves a negative review of a game. I promise I'm not trying to be that jackass. I wanted to like this game. But. It's just not that great. It's a great concept, but poorly executed. The opening gives you motion sickness, as you're reading text while the background is flying by you at mach 3, and the characters are drunkenly wobbling from side to side. (Maybe they have motion sickness too?) The controls for the flying/action part of the game are unintuitive and clunky. Now I understand that the controls are reminiscent of a classical 2d top down flyer, where W moves you forward, no matter what direction you are facing, but I didnt have a chance to get used to the controls, as even the first level on "Easy" has a billion particles flying at you, trying to kill you. Speaking of getting used to the controls, once you DO die that first time, during the flying seuyqence, you have no recourse, but to start the entire game over from the beginning, and go through all of your choices, and click through all of the dialogue. If this game were still in early access, then of course I would be forgiving of this. But as a final product, I would say skip this one for now.. This is a little bit of a mixed review as there is a lot to love about the game and a few things that could have been implimented better. First up the story is a little confusing in places and the save system could have been better. Gameplay I finished in about 15 hours so for me is somewhat disappointing as I wanted it to go on. There isnt also much depth to the game sadly either. On the big plus side the story is where the game shines and the characters are really well done and feel like you can connect to them. I often found myself laughing or smiling at things and the game really does well at drawing you into the characters. I do wish there had been more choices though and too few oppertunities to influence that. The controls are easy and simple to use although I do wish for an ingame pause and the lack of options like sound or screen res isnt a big issue but should have been implimented. Like I said a mixed review but on sale def get it. I only wish it had been longer and hope for a sequel but sadly I cant see that happening.. An awesome game that combines space esploration/combat and a visual novel,this title shines it's the impressive visuals,both the locations you'll explore and characters you'll meet look great,the music is excellent as well and the gameplay is great as well,fighting solo on your ship or summoning many computer controlled ships,after you've collected via story events and quest to wipe the enemies feels great,lastly although the script needs a bit of proofreading the story is solid and the main characters are very endearing and after playing for a while you'll feel involved with the story and characters.. I usually dont make reviews or enjoy early access games, however, ive been surprised twice this month, the first was with battlerite, and the other was this game. I enjoy visual novels, specially romantic ones. And when i saw the romance tag on this work, together with the art style the author has, made me purchase this game regardless of being in early access. I didnt get much romance, since the story is still incomplete, but i got something i did not think id find in a vn, a good "combat" system. I played the casual mode, it was difficult, and i will try the normal mode after new story comes out, the characters are really charming and have a great development so far. The only negatives i can think of are proper of an early access game (few bugs here and there, unpolished details,etc) , and cant be solved without funds, which will only come if more ppl try this game. So, my honest review? if you compare this to all the other good visual novels out there, id give it an 8/10, however, this game was made by a single person and i think it deserves a bit more credit than those that are made by lots. so id give a 9/10. Good music, good thematic, Excellent art, and great combat. This creator deserves a chance to show its full potential, lets give it a chance.. Pretty good game, love the characters and story. Requires allot of work but it will offer a good time for any one else buying this before its done. Only buy the game if you want to support the development. About 3 - 4 hours to finish the game in its current state. Update: Game has been updated, some minor dialog issues and one major bug that is annoying but doable, from start to end would take about 9 - 12 hours to finish the current game on normal. 12.05.2017 If you don't already own this i would recommend you grab it if you like a good story with plenty of action, decent ammount of choices and allot of reading.Its far from perfect but what is there is pretty good. 05.09.2018 Finished the game and i had a good time, the ending was a bit sudden and it would have been nice if it had been longer but all in all i am happy with what we got, tho i did not like the ending much as it felt unresolved to me as far as the character relations goes. Would have been nice with an after story arc but i doubt we will get one now that the game is out.. Top down 2d space figher with twist where you collect a menagerie of ships; and can switch between them or order the AI to pilot one or more in support. Heavy on story- not really breaking new ground but it is competently written. I am not sure it qualifies as a visual novel because you have to win combat to progress [I think?]. I have noticed that there is an element of puzzle solving, but it is limited to ship behavior so far. The combat is moderate speed and there is a fail-state where you will have to reload a save file.
