'One Piece' Sets Up A Promising Rivalry

One Piece is setting the pieces up for the Tournament of Power, and one of the final pieces of the puzzle has been Gohan, who has been training to return to his previous strength.
Fans were ecstatic to find out earlier in the Whole Cake Island arc that Jinbe pledged to join the One Piece as a permanent member of the crew, and although he's proved himself strong as an ally before, Jinbe has show off just how integral he will be to the Straw Hats going forward. His courage allows him to easily stand against someone like Big Mom, and his strength gives him the power to back up his confidence. On top of his skill as a fighter, there's his role as the new helmsman of the Thousand Sunny already being a major help against the Straw Hat's enemies.
Dragon Ball has admittedly been inconsistent with how it treats the power of its half-human, half-Saiyan generation. Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Future Trunks all demonstrate uncanny ability to unlock power-ups or even fusion power-ups much easier than their fathers - as well as discovering new techniques, such as Gohan's latent powers in the Majin Buu saga of Dragon Ball Z, or Future Trunks' Spirit Bomb "Sword of Hope" attack, used to defeat Zamasu in DBS' "Future Trunks Saga" finale. And yet, for some reason, this new generation of Saiyans always gets pushed to the back, so that Goku and Vegeta can shine once again.
Well, Gohan's fight with Goku ends pretty much how you would expect: with Goku using his massive power gained during Dragon Ball Super's various arcs (Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken, to be specific) to KO Gohan. However, it's during the fight that Gohan makes an interesting revelation to his father: that he's working to unlock a new transformation - one that no other Saiyan has achieved before!
One Piece kicked kicked off with a look at the Straw Hats as they seeded Kozuki’s rebellion with the public, but it paid visit to Monkey D. Luffy before long. The captain has been thrown into prison in the hopes of being reeducated in Kaido’s favor, and it seems Udon’s Prisoner Mines is trying to do more than teach. After all, the prison doubles as a slavery front. Prisoners are all forced to assist in weapons making, and they are tossed aside as soon as they become useless.
