A deceptive little game which looks like it's going to be easy and ends in a pile of skeletons.. Fun and origional game, with a very very amusing, laugh out loud, story (via video cut scenes). Comes with a character editor, and if you are handy with paint shop pro or similar, you can knock up a characer in an hour or so. Custom characters seem to be only available in multiplayer (but I couldn't find any active servers, maybe that's just me). Your character is fixed for story reasons in the single player. Left me wanting more...Well worth the money, highly recommended.. I played the demo for this game when I was like 8 on the 360 and really liked it, but I never got the full game. Until now and I got to say it was as good as I remembered which was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.. This game was the first indie title on steam.... the dialogue is ridiquolous like when the villain said "Bring me his pubes.. Great classic from the past. Very challenging puzzles and fun gameplay. Good music for when it was made, and a good class selection that adds a bit of variety.. What is here is good and a few puzzles may make you stop and think for a while, but more variety in activities and some gameplay corrections could help. A run button so you can move faster over extensive terrain, getting to play as The Maw a few times would have been appreciated, a first person camera so you can get a better perspective of where things are and where to go next and the game could have taken advantage of the fact that the main character is eventually smaller than The Maw and can fit in their mouth or perform actions like take advantage of the size difference.

I do like how the game aesthetic is at odds with The Maw's vicious activities. Everything looks cute and cuddly but The Maw eats people WHOLE, sometimes more than one at a time. The cutscene at the end of the speed bike DLC level is a great example of this.

I get the feeling that the entire galaxy is eventually eaten up by The Maw and his friend eventually falls victim to his appetite without The Maw knowing. If this game ever gets a follow up, the threat of that could be a place to start the story.. Short: meh. Uninstalled, put under my "abandonned" label.

Starting with no explanations or goal in sight is ok. However, having the water level rise and rendering the place impossible is just a boring way to have you reset the whole thing over from scratch. Movement is annoying since the world tends to accumulate fruit and stuff in bundles. Camera is way too close on the character to make exploration fun - you pretty much literally fly blind.. land on an island, and keep the little bastards alive, thats about it, all the virtual villagers are the same, fun games but kinda slow going. Put in 98 mins. in this game and I LOVE IT I am A huge fan of Trials from the flash games to the recent games this is a must buy to any trials fan. Might not be as great as the others in series this game is great. Recommend this to any fan or new players to trials.
