Precautions for stainless steel processing

1. In the construction of stainless steel processing applications, stainless steel processing is important for many reasons. The corrosion environment requires a smooth surface because the surface is smooth and not easy to scale. The deposit of dirt can make stainless steel rust and even cause corrosion. In capacious hall, stainless steel is the material that elevator decorates the board the most commonly used, although the handprint of the surface can erase, but affect beautiful, had better choose appropriate surface to prevent to leave handprint so. Sanitary conditions are important in many industries, such as food processing, catering, brewing, and chemicals, where surfaces must be easy to clean daily and often with chemical cleaners.

2. Stainless steel is processed as alloy material, and there are different crystal phases. When the temperature changes, the crystal phase changes correspondingly. Therefore, in the process of stainless steel processing (such as mechanical processing, casting, welding and cutting, etc.), one is affected by the temperature of the local easy precipitation of new phase (local phase change), the physical and chemical state of the material between grain boundaries and the grain itself is different, resulting in the grain boundary corrosion rate is significantly greater than the grain itself (intergranular corrosion). The precipitation of these new phases will inevitably lead to the formation of some elements in the poor area, whether the precipitation of the new phase corrosion resistance, or corrosion resistance will lead to the uneven corrosion velocity - pitting corrosion or holecorrosion.

3. Stainless steel processing points to pay attention to: by the processing temperature is easy to produce internal stress, a large number of chloride ions make stress corrosion. In the process of plasma cutting, the grain size of austenitic stainless steel is coarse due to the local high temperature, even local melting, the internal stress is too large, stress corrosion is especially obvious. In room temperature polishing process, although the polishing fluid formulation can be adjusted to reduce the corrosion phenomenon, but it can not completely avoid stress corrosion and intercrystalline corrosion. In order to control intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion, we must start from the processing process of stainless steel equipment, strictly control the process parameters, including welding process parameters, cutting methods, heat treatment temperature, to avoid crystallization and internal stress concentration. During the polishing process, the weld and the heat treatment parts were corroded, especially the plasma cutting surface. When heating the bending pipe, the heated part also produces serious corrosion.
