Solution 1

Close your QuickBooks Desktop. And Navigate to C:\Program Files\.
64-bit users: C:\Program Files (x86)
You have to Right-click the Intuit folder and select Properties.
Click the Security tab and select the Advanced button.
Make sure that the owner of this folder is the User group.
you need to take ownership of the Intuit folder, If you have anything other than the User group
Try downloading the updates.
Do the outlined steps above to the following Intuit folders, If you are still experiencing the same issue
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit
64-bit users: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit
C:\ProgramData\Intuit
C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Intuit

Solution 2

Click Internet Options, From the Tools menu,
Select the Advanced tab.
Scroll down and choose Use SSL2.0 and SSL3.0.
Click on Apply and then click on OK
Solution 3:
First of all click on Start button and choose Control Panel.
You have to Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
Select the QuickBooks program, and then click on Change/Remove.

Select Repair and click Next,
In the QuickBooks Maintenance window, click Repair
In the QuickBooks Maintenance Complete window, Click Finish,

Click on the Start
Type “command” in the search bo
DO NOThit ENTER yet!
on your keyboard, While holding CTRL-Shift hit ENTER.
with a permission dialog box, You will be prompted and Click Yes.
With a blinking cursor, A black box will open
Enter “sfc /scannow” and hit ENTER.
System File Checker will begin scanning for QuickBooks Error 15240 and other system file problems (be patient – the system scan may take a while).
Follow the on-screen commands and check whether the still persists or not

Solution 5

Click the Start And In the search box, type “System Restore”
Press ENTER and In the results, click System Restore.
You have to Enter any administrator passwords (if prompted).
To choose a restore point, Follow the steps in the Wizard
Restore your computer and now check QuickBooks is working fine or not.
