The United States recorded the highest number of International students in the year 2018 hitting the highest number ever of 1.5 Million students. This included undergraduate and graduate students to universities and colleges throughout the states. This is according to a survey conducted by renowned student trackers in the US. This number was high compared to Australia and the UK that offer much high value of education worldwide.
The number of international students who have enrolled in the United States has increased over the past decade with the highest number coming from China, Middle East countries. The Institute of International Education reports that there are more than 40% International students studying within the United States compared to 10 years ago.

Students from the Indian origin are more interested in the fields of science, engineering, maths, technology and the STEM fields while International students from South Korea major in the fields of fine arts and business, the study shows.
There has been significant increases in the number of undergraduate international students from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Brazil within the United States which is highly attributed to the scholarship programs offered by Universities.
The State of California has continuously enrolled the highest number of International students. New York come second, followed by Texas, Illinois and Massachusetts in the year 2016. Among the top destinations for International Students in the year 2016 were Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Indiana recording a growth, with increases of 10 to 15 percent. The top metropolitan areas were New York, Seattle, Boston, San Diego, Baltimore and Pittsburgh.
University of Southern California welcomed the highest number of International Students for the 10th year followed by Urbana, Illinois, Purdue University, Columbia University and New York University.
