Drinking water, in the past, for many people, could have seemed like the last choice in a string of available beverages on the market. For many bottled water was associated with those on a strict fitness regime or for people who are on a calorie controlled diet.Many people did not know the health benefits associated with drinking water until recently, so the end user for bottled water has changed dramatically over the past ten years.

Researching health issues and advice is something that millions of people look for on the web on a daily basis so finding out the facts and figures relating to the benefits of drinking water are much easier than before.In addition to this, more work places are offering free bottled water to their employees in a drive to consciously encourage more water intake, in turn improving the health of their staff. So with this in mind it would appear that rather than reaching for desktop water dispenser a coffee during the working day many workers from all ages are filling their classes with bottled water.

The industry has grown rapidly over the past ten years and is likely to continue to increase year on year with the clever marketing and readily available information to the average person.With a lot of media attention on young people and the binge drinking culture, young people are advised to consume as much water as possible, making it more of a trendy accessory to carry around. Tests have proved that people suffer from hang-overs purely because of the lack of water in the body and by drinking water regularly when consuming alcohol or having a bottle of water before you go to bed can dramatically decrease the chances of a hang-over.

Overall the shift over the years has seen the consumer go from the occasional buyer to a frequent purchaser of bottled water. The image of water has been made sexy and is now more assessable everywhere, especially in the work place.The future looks bright for bottled water and is definitely the way forward for healthier living not just for the keep fit addict but for the average person and with the variations now available on the market such as flavoured or sparkling water, grabbing a bottle of water is just as trendy, if not more, than reaching for your usual can or pop.
