Ultimately, A Course in Wonders is a journey of self-discovery and self-realization. It is really a route of awareness to the reality of who we're and the endless possible that lies within us. As we apply their teachings within our day-to-day lives, we start to see a profound change in consciousness, a shift from anxiety to love, from divorce to unity. And in that shift, we find the peace and delight that have always been our birthright

So what's in the Capital City of Australia?

So what's in the Capital City of Australia?

The streets are wide and spacious, there are gum trees lining the major roads and bushy hills right next to downtown. It’s even likely that you’ll see wild kangaroos hopping about within the city limits. It’s the kind of place where you can see the ‘real’ Australia, if you get what I mean.

How to get to Canberra:
Sydney is the closest major city to Canberra. You can drive between the two cities in around 3 hours.
Driving from Melbourne is also possible, though it’s a much longer trip at around 7 hours.
When you arrive, public transport is great. You have the option to catch a light rail, busses, or a Canberra Taxi. that you can call or book a taxi online.
Old Parliament House (Don’t forget to stop by!)

It wouldn’t be a trip to Canberra without seeing the Parliament buildings! Old Parliament House was a temporary location for parliament from 1927 to 1988. Nowadays, there’s a Museum of Australian Democracy inside the building as well as a lovely rose garden outside and a photogenic reflective pool out the front.

For coffee enthusiasts
To enjoy the cosmopolitan coffee experience, there are three precincts with a good variety of scrumptious eating places and great coffee.
I recommend the Kingston Foreshore (eastern end of the lake), the New Acton precinct (west of the city centre), the hip Lonsdale Street in Braddon (just north of the city) or ONA Coffee in Fyshwick. If you are thinking about obtaining employment as a Bartista, you may need to consider having a police check ready. Canberrans take community safety fairly seriously. You can actually get the police check online. The police check certificate is actually a national police check. A state based police check like a police check Victoria and a national police check are essentially both the same - they are both a national check so it doesn't really matter which one you decide to get.
For nature lovers
If you love smelling the flowers, the annual Floriade festival in October is the place to be. It has expanded to include live music and other attractions at an outdoor stage amidst flowers and food stalls.
For serenity seekers
The unique contrast of national capital and bushland character is best experienced on the lake in a kayak in the late afternoon light, when life seems to kick back and slow down a notch.
In a short easy kayak cruise you can glide from water views of the grand national buildings at the city centre to a serene lake wilderness surrounded by forested peaks — with just a glimpse of the Parliament House flagpole above the trees to remind you that you’re in a city.
