Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You turned the rom-com genre on its head in its 12-episode first season. Tsukasa and Nasa Yuzaki, the co-leads, were ready to live together and got married within the first two episodes, which is quite strange by the rom-com genre standards. Even though they are sincerely in love and married there are a ton of questions that the show can still explore in another season. The fans would be excited to see their favorite characters back, and the success that the show has had in season one will likely be replicated in season two. Tsuaka’s Age

When Tsukasa rescued Nasa Yuzaki after a near-fatal accident, it seemed that she might be about 16 years old. The series also hinted at some parallels between the moon goddess, Kaguya, and Tsukasa, but nothing was ever made clear about her age. So, the fans still don’t even know Tsukasa’s real age, and the show has completed an entire season. But the show has hinted a few times that she is definitely much older than sixteen. When she meets Nasa again after two years, Tsukasa has hardly aged.

Tsukasa prefers human connection over luxury goods and modern technology. The fact that she had read old classical Japanese texts shows that she is quite older than she looks. Most modern Japanese people will struggle to understand those Japanese texts without having come from the same time period when they were published.

What’s Next for Tsukasa?

Since Tsukasa and Nasa were married in the first two episodes of the show, they had very little to look forward to. Both of them had to prove that they are compatible with one another more than anything else. Tsukasa truly loved her husband. There is no questioning that but now that all these facts are well established, the creators will have to think about what’s next for her. She has impressive homemaking skills, but will she be limited to her home in the next season as well? Will the creators surprise the viewers with Tsukasa’s newfound employment? There are too many possibilities, and the fans will have to wait for the next season to get their answers.

Nasa’s Dream

Nasa’s parents had big dreams for him, and they named their son after the American NASA program. They wished that someday he too would blast off for the stars. Nasa was aware of his parent’s expectations, and he studied as hard as he could. He wanted to achieve a lot of things but when the time came for the college entrance exams, he was hospitalized. It was a big blow to his dreams, and he had to compromise by doing simple jobs. He saved money and had a modest lifestyle, but he was no longer chasing his dreams. After his marriage to Tsukasa, he has started feeling empowered again, and it appears that he might give his dreams another try.

Nasa is hardworking and intelligent, so once he sets his eyes on a goal, it’s likely that he will eventually achieve it. He can work on Japan’s own space program or on a similar project. Although his marriage is an important part of his life, he has other dreams as well. The creators should consider exploring those dreams in the upcoming season.

Big Wedding

Nasa and Tsukasa had no ceremony when they were married to each other. Although they are legally and emotionally husband and wife, their families never go to be a part of such an important moment of their lives. Nasa has always hinted that he was disappointed that there were no celebrations. Even though Tsukasa doesn’t mind not having a big wedding ceremony, Nasa thinks otherwise. He believes that it is extremely important for him to throw a big wedding bash to make his bride happy. He once went out to buy wedding bands for himself and his wife but knowing Nasa, it’s obvious that he won’t be satisfied with just that.

When he once saw a big wedding ceremony while walking down the street, he vowed to himself that he would give his wife her big day. But the viewers are yet to know when and how the big ceremony will happen. Even though Nasa is determined to throw a wedding, it won’t be easy because even a simple wedding costs a lot of money. How will Nasa manage to pull it off is still a mystery? Hopefully, the show’s upcoming season will come with all the answers and the viewers will finally get to see Tsukasa and Nasa getting married in front of their families and friends.
