This is not to say that you will need to do something drastic like start a low carb high protein diet as these diets, although popular, they have been shown provide results in the short term, but may cause long term health consequences. Rather, what you will need to do to reduce belly fat is to eat healthy meals made of lean protein, lots of vegetables, whole grains and some fruit. You should try to choose foods that are as close as possible to their natural state and not highly processed.
