One of the prerequisite skills that should be possessed by an individual for writing any type of academic assignment is the skill to write an analytical essay. An analytical essay is about the presentation of arguments over any topic and then it should demonstrate a thorough analysis of the concept explained therein. In simple words, analytics can be defined as splitting or breaking down of something into smaller parts and in terms of essay, analytics is about dividing the topic into smaller parts for assisting the individual in gaining an insight into the concerned topic. The understanding of any topic is enhanced by detail explanation of the process, text or idea. An analytical essay is about analyzing the text in the literature and the analysis of any work can be done about any scientific research, event and movie. The objective of writing an essay is to conduct an analysis of any particular topic. Any topic can be analyzed by writing an analytical essay over it and the writer needs to analyze the topic from every aspect and after conducting detailed research, informed opinion is required to be made.

Such type of essay is the response and reaction of the writer to a given piece of work using a critical aspect and the significance of the terms outlined in the essay should be set out in the essay. In an analytical essay, the writer is intending to point out the opinion of the text that is being discussed and they do not make the fact. The arguments presented in the paper should be supported by the writer by way of exploring the text in detail. There are different types of analytical essays in literature such as contrast and comparison, cause and effect, process, classification, and definition.

The structure of writing an analytical essay is that the essay should be divided into a few sections which is outlined below. The first section should have an abstract that relevant information of the topic concerned along with some historical background. The next section demonstrates the evaluation of the text and makes arguments by gathering the evidence. The collected evidence should be interpreted by persuading the reader to gain an understanding of the text being discussed. The next section discusses the implicit and explicit assumption of the original texts made by the author and how the implied arguments is collected using assumptions. Last section presents the explanation of any contradictions that is inherent to the text being discussed. Such contradiction might be due to any unwarranted assumptions made by the author about the audience and the author can also express his views for making the text which is emotionally appealing to the audience. The analytical essay ends with a conclusion made by the writer on the facts and texts presented on the topic. Usually, there are one or two paragraphs in the conclusion section of the analytical review. The conclusion should be made by restating the thesis and the themes of main body is repeated. The confidence of author is appreciated by the audience when the essay is left with an air of self-assurance.
