My favorite sports team is from a Division 1 NCAA school. I have liked them since I was a kid in the Sixties. Back then this school garnered little respect and we were known only for our academics not our sports teams. Slowly this began to change we hired a head wrestling coach that was world renown. Our basketball coach was a charismatic, grey haired man who just seemed to command respect from his players, coaches, and the fans. His team just happened to win a Big Ten championship along with punching our ticket to the Final Four. Then things started getting real interesting, a south Texas cowboy was hired named Hayden Fry he turned our football team around. Coach Fry made our football team a force to be reckoned with. We had a team that could win, a team people respected, a team the fans really got behind because we could compete with the big guys. My favorite sports team is the Iowa Hawkeyes, my best memory is when 70,000 sports fans, who love the Hawks, turn and wave at the Iowa Children’s Hospital! That raises goose-bumps on my arms every time, We, Hawkeyes are always winners, no matter what the score.

Here in Pakistan we like Manchester United. They are simply awesome! I am a big fan by the way. They are real artists as far as a game is concerned and to watch them playing is always a real pleasure.
