Windows 10: How to Trim Video Using the Photos App

Nowadays, people use their phones camera or digital camera to record high-quality videos and photos. While an HD video is good and all, it can rack up huge space in your device. In such cases, you have no better option than to trim the videos.

The Windows 10 Photos Application has simple features to editing videos that allow you to easily trim the video length and size.

In this blog, we will teach you how you can trim video using Windows 10 Photos application:

1) Video Trim via PhotoApplication , Brother printer support

Here are the steps on how to trim video on Windows 10 using Photos application:-

1. Launch the Photos app.
2. Tap on the video you wish to edit.
3. Tap on the Edit and Create option shown at the right of the screen and then choose Trim.
4. With the help of right and left pin shown in white color, choose the part of the video that you wish to trim.
5. Through the blue pin, find the footage to ensure that you are editing the right section.
6. Tap on the Save a Copy option that appears on the right side on the screen.

After doing these step, you get your edited video on the trimming section of the application. However, this process will not edit the original video, and your original video will remain saved as earlier.

If you are facing trouble with space while editing, you can delete the original video to free space in your device, remember that you need to remove the original video from the Collocation tap.

2) Trim Several Parts of Video via Photos Application

The trimming features doesn’t permit you to edit several parts video, so you need to use the video editing application or tools to complete this task.
Here are the steps on how to trim several parts of video via photos application:-

1. Open the Photos app.
2. Choose the Select option shown on the right of the screen corner.
3. Select the Video that you want to edit.
4. Tap on the New video option in the toolbar.
5. Choose the New Video Project section.
6. Enter a name for your project.
7. Choose the video in the Storyboard.
8. Tap the Split option in the toolbar.
9. Choose the option that contains the first part of the video clip that you wish to edit.
10. Hit the Done button.
11. Choose the remaining file of the video clip.
12. Hit the Split option again.
13. Choose the option that contains the second part of the video clip that you wish to trim.
14. Tap the Done icon.
15. Choose the remaining file of the video clip.
16. Hit the Split option again.
17. Choose the First trimmed video clip in the Storyboard.
18. Hit the Trim option in the toolbar.
19. With the help of the blue pin adjust the area of the trimmed video.
20. Tap the Play option to see the edited clip.
21. Hit the done option.
22. Choose the Second trimmed video clip in Storyboard.
23. Hit the Trim option in the toolbar.
24. With the help of the Blue pin adjust the area of the trimmed video.
25. Tap the Play option to see the edited clip.
26. Hit the Done option.
27. Tap the Play option in the preview area.
28. Tap the Finish video option that appears on the right of your screen.
29. The video quality for HD should be 1080p.
30. Tap the Export option.
31. Choose your desired folder where you want to save your video.
32. Tap the Export option.

After this process, your video clip will be trimmed as you like.
