During the time you're leveling, you may PoE Goods encounter Vaal side places (but you can't encounter them in endgame maps). They're marked with a red heart icon when you open the minimap and go near them.In overall Vaal side places are pretty small and you'll be able to run through them pretty quickly, all them contain a boss at the end. Slaying the boss enables you to start Vaal Vessel which drops either Vaal Skill Gem or one of the 4 Vaal Sacrifice Fragments that give access to Atziri.Let me note that different zones exude distinct Vaal side places and different directors inside them, and some of those bosses can be pretty tough to take down while you are leveling so be mindful. I haven't spent much time at the realm of Path of Exile, but if you can find half a dozen bosses just in this new growth even harder and more complex than Avarius, I'd say it is likely to be a fantastic year to get action-RPG fans.

Defense is important than offense in Path of Exile and each character must have a way.

In addition to that, you have 3 Elemental resistances (Fire, Lightning, and Cold) and Chaos resistance. Elemental resistances start with 0 percent and as you progress, more resistance is required for them to be restricted (for example your resistances will be -60% when you hit late game and have no +percent to x immunity stats on your gear ).
