How to Create Favorite and Collection Locations on Your iPhone and iPad

The Maps application includes two features which can save your favorite location and Collections that can be used for creating a list of spaces and spots. If you wish to create a collection of locations on your iPhone and iPad, then go through the steps mentioned below.

Steps to Create Favorite and Collection Locations on Your iPhone and iPad

Adding a Location

• Press on the plus symbol given below the Favorites option.

• Enter the current location in the search bar given below the Add Favorite option.

• Otherwise, enter a name and address in the search bar.

• Press on the Siri symbol for using the voice search feature located on the location window.

• Press on the plus symbol for adding a current location.

• Choose a current location by clicking on the plus symbol for the option which is given below the Siri Suggestions.

• You can also change the labels.

• Choose the type of location option by going to the Details webpage.

• Press on the Add person option given below the Share ETA option in case you wish to send your current location to anyone when you are going to your favorite place.

• Choose the Done option located at the upper right corner of the display for saving the favorite location to create favorite and collection locations on your iPhone and iPad.

Deleting Favorite locations

• Press on the See All option given near the Favorites option located in the Maps webpage.

• Select the Edit option provided at the end right-hand side of the display.

• Press on the minus symbol located to the left-hand side of the favorite option which you wish to delete.

Steps to Create Favorite and Collection in a New Maps Application

Creating a Collection

• Press on the New Collection checkbox given below the Collections option provided on the Maps webpage.

• Start adding a title for the Collection which you wish to create.

• Press on the Create option located at the upper right-hand side of the display.

Adding Locations to the Collection

• Press on the Collection which you have already created.

• Choose the Add a Place option.

• Find the location for adding locations to the collection by entering it into the search bar.

• Below the Suggestions option, press on the plus symbol given near the right location.

• You can follow the same steps as mentioned above for adding more locations to a created collection.

• Press on the Done option given at the upper right-hand sides after completing the adding process of locations.

Explore the locations of a Collection

• Below the Collection option, press on the location to know more about it.

• Press on the Directions option to search for the location which you want to use

• Press on the Flyover, when you want to zoom in the location.

• You will get the details by going to the Wikipedia and TripAdvisor page, but it depends on the location of how much it is popular.

• Press on the Add to Favorites option for adding a current location which you will get in the pull-down menu.

• Otherwise, press on the Create New Contact option.

• Otherwise, press on the Add to Existing Contact option.

• Otherwise, click on the Report an Issue in case you are facing any issue with the locations which are provided in the drop-down menu.

• Press on the location display.

• Click on the Add to option for including a location in any other Collection.

• Press on the Share option to send the details to another Collection.

• Press on the Delete option for removing a current location by going to the Collection window.
