Greed: Black Border (GBB) is a mix of Diablo style click to move player character, Kingdoms of Amalur dungeon traps, and top-down shooter combat. The mix is both interesting and frustrating.

GRAPHICS
The game is not processor heavy. Only 12-15% is required from an Intel i7-4770k CPU and 31-41% from an NVidia 770 running at 536 MHz. Backgrounds aren't as pretty, and aside from the frequent explosive canisters from earlier levels, there aren't much to interact from the environment, nor it is purposeful.

SOUND
Most of the interactions (walking on different surfaces, downed enemy, broken tables, plants shot at) are paired with sound effects. The soundtrack isn't interesting, and I got tired from hearing the same (or similar) electronic music by the middle of the game.

GAMEPLAY
The story is short. Enemies, gear, and environments don't have much variety. Add all that and you have what I feel like a grinding game. Controls are also an issue, specially considering how hard it is navigating traps via point and click controls. The control scheme is just inappropriate for this type of gameplay. Rogue style controls will feel better for the mazes and overall gameplay. And, too bad, rogue style control is not an option in GBB.

OVERALL
I did finish the game without complaining much. I did find it weird that the player can only have one passive offensive perk and one passive defensive perk active at a time. For $0.70, it's ok. Buy it. But increase the price and you'll have better games to play than Greed: Black Border.. At first I thought this game would be a nice diablo-style sci-fi game. But I couldn't get past the first level becuase of the "death disco" room with spinning lights in every direction that auto-kill you if so much as your pinkie toe hits them for more than a second. I literally tried everything, but short of an invulnerability cheat this area was impassible for me. I'm sure theres a pattern or something to it, and if I tried it enough times I could probably beat it, but no... just no. This♥♥♥♥♥♥is not fun. Your character controls like♥♥♥♥♥♥ The camera angle is♥♥♥♥♥♥ and cannot be changed - frequently pitting you agains the most powerful enemies from angles which you cannot see them until they are right on top of you. I picked the plasma class (sniper) in which range is key to success. But it is a farce, the enemies are always right up in your ♥♥♥♥ing face, and the ones that aren't either have the same range benfits you do, dealing far more damage per shot, or even better range. DO NOT BUY!. Couldn't get coop to work with my friends no matter what we tried. Avoid it.. you know in a hack n slash when you click an enemy to attack them?
in this game there's a 50% chance you'll instead run headlong into them

that's it. you want to attack? tough luck, my friend, now you're simply running towards danger.

avoid at all costs. even for hack n slash, dungeon crawler fans.

please do avoid.. The game is a real pain to get working in terms of multiplayer. Its not integrated into steam at all.

The gameplay is kinda terrible, its like a cheap top down shooter.

I can't recommend it unless you want to spend an hour port forwarding.. I've played a lot of ARPGs....This one might be the worst
