The Coolsculpting method, derived from the cryolipolysis technique, consists in permanently destroying the fat cells by the cold. The effects start from -7° C to -14° C. Cryolipolysis is a non invasive belly fat removal method.

How it works?

The doctor applies a gelpad on the area to be treated in order to protect the skin well, then he places one of the Coolsculpting applicators combining the effects of suction and cold.

Does it hurt?

For a few minutes, there is a slight discomfort due to the strong suction but the area anesthetizes quickly thanks to the cold. It can also feel tingling but they too disappear after about ten minutes.

Side effects of Cryolipolysis Coolsculpting:

During Coolsculpting cryolipolysis sessions it is observed that the reactions that may occur by the procedure of coolsculpting before and after one treatment differ from one patient to another.

Reactions during Cryolipolysis Coolsculpting treatment:

At the beginning of the treatment cycle and for 7 to 10 minutes, one can feel a tissue traction, tingling. The cooled zone becomes progressively insensitive. Immediately after treatment, the treated area appears hard, strong, red with sometimes temporary lightening of the skin. Within minutes of treatment, you may feel nauseous or dizzy. The vascularity of the skin and its warming can be painful. The massage and continuous pressure on the treated area is usually sufficient to soothe the possible pain, which lasts 7 to 10 minutes.

A few hours after the applicator has been removed, the treated area may appear red, bruised, swollen or tender. These reactions are normal and usually disappear within minutes. Rare reactions may occur during the treatment of cryolipolysis: a few cases of itching, tingling, numbness, sensitivity to touch, pain in the treated area, cramps, muscle contractions, body aches have also been reported.

Reactions after treatment:

Sensations of numbness in the treated area may last several weeks after treatment. Serious pain can occur in one to two cases out of 10. Recall that in a minority of patients (one to two cases out of 10); Cryolipolysis is accompanied by moderate pain that is a significant inconvenience in everyday life. In rare cases (less than one in every 100 cases), intense pain is observed, which can prevent the continuation of routine or professional activities for a few days (especially those involving painful movements or an uncomfortable position). In very rare cases (less than 1 in 1000 cases) patients have been hospitalized to receive effective treatment for pain because of their intensity or duration.

Some of the coolsculpting side effects are as follows:

During a session:

• Sensations of traction, tightness and slight pinching in the treated area.
• Intense cold, tingling, burning, pain, cramps.

Just after a session:

• Redness and firmness.
• Whiteness and / or transient bruising on the edges of the treated area.
• Sensation of tingling and burning.

One to two weeks after a session:

• Redness, bruising and edema.
• Sensitivity to touch, cramps and pains.

Itching, skin sensitivity, tingling and numbness.
