Oh god, I had no idea my favorite childhood game was on Steam! =0 Good thing I finally found it and even managed to avoid all the technical difficulties that seem to be rather common with this version of the game among other players. On top of that the game doesn't have any sort of modern adjustments like saving or ability to take screenshots, but if that doesn't bother you too much I can wholeheartedly recommend this blast from the past. The art is incredibly pretty, the music is really atmospheric and gaming mechanics are varying enough to make each level unique. Some people seem to claim that the game is too hard, but there is an option to adjust the difficulty level - which is a completely valid option, no matter what others say! In easy mode there's enough lives and continues to keep the game going even through the most difficult parts, even if you are a somewhat mediocre player. It was so cool to finally see the end of the game, as the version I had as a kid always froze after the first adult Simba level. ='). Seems to run great on Windows 7, using an Xbox controller! I had an issue once where after a continue it seemed to forget my assigned key for roar and had to reset it, otherwise seems just like the old days!!!. This game is cool. Thank you Disney for bringing back good memories of my childhood. It's definetly a good buy. You should know the graphics aren't that good because it's a game from 1994!. The price is a little too high for the efford of running the game in a DOS-Box, but I would buy it again.. My brother and I found this game as notoriously hard as children- whether this game actually is hard or we both were slowly fnding out we were not platform gamers.
My problem with this emulation is the lack of ability to use old cheat codes, as well as a lack of effort to be better. Do you have any clue how much I would have killed for a save feature? This game came out in 90s and they've had THIRTY YEARS to improve this game. Nostalgia or not. I also point this out because I still feel that the time it takes to register a control is slower than it could be. So, there's a number of unnecessary deaths based on a control not registering in time or lack of landing in just the right spot.

The things is, I still like this game. You can buy it, if you want to, but I don't think you'll be untimately happy with it.. This game is cool. the game runs only on a half screen and i cant see what happend in the game ,run very slow in some points, the game is unplayable dont buy it!
