Locate and select Bluetooth under the tab.
Press the circled “i” icon appearing next to the AirPods.
Tap on the name and type the replacement name within Figure A field.
Tap Done.
You can also disable the in-ear detection, which allows the AirPods to choose whether to play or pause the music depending on if they are in your ears or not. Go to the AirPods Bluetooth option and just disable the Automatic Ear Detection feature. Double-tap on any AirPod and it will turn on several actions. You can set up various features from either of the AirPods. The AirPods are designed to automatically play the following track on the playlist when either one of them is double tapped. You can assign different tasks to the AirPods by selecting the tasks on the AirPods Bluetooth screen. Just choose whichever task you want to attach to the tap and enable it for the AirPod you want. The available actions are:

Siri.
Play or Pause.
Previous Track.
Next Track.
Off.

You can specify in the settings as to which AirPod act as the microphone when you are taking a call. The AirPods by default select Automatic, but if you want to choose a preference, then you can. Remember if you have selected either Always Right/Left then you need to take out the AirPod, the said AirPod can act as the mic too. This feature can be useful if two people are sharing the AirPods. You may also disable or permanently remove the pair of AirPods by pressing Disconnect and Forget The Device options. The options are available under the iPhone Bluetooth settings tab.
