Along with the Department for Transport went one stage further, requiring all major GREAT BRITAIN airports to introduce the technology over the next three years.

The DfT said in which “This could mean in future passengers may be able to keep liquids and power equipment, like laptops, into their cabin baggage while it is screened”.

It added that “Once in position, the 100ml liquid limit may no longer apply and passengers could take liquids, like a bottle of water, by security”.

Similar three-dimensional computer tomography (CT) scanners think you are introduced at other large airports including Chicago O’Hare Foreign.

Announcing the news Transport Assistant Grant Shapps said:

“The innovative screening equipment will improve security and make that experience smoother and less stressful for passengers. It could also mean an end to passengers the need to use plastic bags or rationing what they take away with them.

“As a outward looking global country, our transport hubs become more important than ever, and buying our security infrastructure means prohibited investing in our nation’s upcoming. ”

In addition, £1 million in funding is being designed to universities “seeking to carry out cutting edge research into the next generation of aviation security solutions”.

The government said how the Future Aviation Security Options (FASS) programme “will carry industry and academia collectively to mentor students with enterprising suggestions to create seamless movement with passengers and cargo inside airports of the future”.

It added that your Industrial PhD Partnership grants “will contribute to national security by increasing the UK’s ability to avoid terrorist attacks and could produce the creation of new product or service that enable faster, stronger airport screening processes”.
