There are few things more tedious in Minecraft than collecting items from your chicken, cow, and sheep farms. No one wants to take the time dealing with animal mobs even in the smallest of Minecraft farms. The answer? Automated Minecraft animal harvesters.

For this Saturday's Weekly Workshop, we will be constructing an automatic animal harvester for sheep, cows, and chickens. These harvesters save time by automating the process of wool, egg, hide, feather, and meat collection for you! Since we will be using a wide range of Minecraft game mechanics and designs for our workshop, this is a great time to join us if you have never played with redstone before.

We done musical workshops before, but for this Saturday Weekly Workshop we will be creating a multi channel music sequencer made famous by YouTuber FVDisco! The multi channel music sequencers allow you to program in a beats to a song using different variations of noteblocks. This is a similar approach to the programmable piano, except that it allows the player to program different channels with different instruments. Each channel can even be played at a different tempo and timing.

Long ago some smart folks figured out how to make water, lava, and some blocks do the mob killing for them. More recently, with the addition of redstone, these mechanisms for resource collection have gotten rather complex.

This Saturday Weekly Workshop will involve creating monster traps from simple and easy, to the purposefully overcomplicated! We will go over methods for spawning mobs, killing them, and storing their loot.
