How to Create “System Recovery Disk” on Windows 8 and 10

Recovery disk provides backup and restores features on various Windows OS, be it Windows 8 and 10. Windows provides dynamic features but to secure them you need to make a recovery and repair disks. These recovery disks can be used to recover, restore and fix various computer issues. Both drive and disks provide fixing tools for Windows.

Here is how to create “Recovery Drive” and “Recovery Disk” for System that runs on Windows 8 and 10.

1. About USB (Recovery Drive) and “System Repair Disk” (CD/DVD)

CD or DVD works as a system repair tool for fixing issues like booting your Windows smoothly if it refuses to do the same. It is a bootable tool that troubleshoots your Windows. It also allows you to restore your PC from picture backup.

On the other hand, USB works as a backup or recovery drive as it is also a bootable “USB” drive. It also provides fixing tools and features just like “system repair disk” or CD/DVD. It allows an extra feature for Reinstalling your Windows which makes a duplicate copy of your necessary System-related files for the process of reinstallation.

2. Creating a Recovery Drive

If you wish to create “Recovery Drive,” then follow these steps:

First and foremost, you have to tap the “Start” button in order to launch the creation tool of the particular recovery drive.
Then, you have to enter ” recovery drive” in the provided search bar.
After that, hit the appropriate option available for creating a recovery drive from the provided result.
Note: You have to make sure that your “USB” drive is under formatted state as “NTFS” as the creation tool requires the USB in “NFTS” format to start.

You can also choose the appropriate option regarding backing up system files to the particular recovery drive form creation tool. It might take up to an hour.
Then after some time, you will get a USB drive for reinstalling your Windows.
After that, tap on “Next” to proceed.”
Next, You have to hit on the desired “USB” drive for the recovery operation. It is informed that your existing drive will erase and format once more.
After making the appropriate selection, then tap on “Next.”
Once finish all the above steps, then you have to tap on the ” Create” option to make your Windows to format the “USB” drive once more and make a duplicate copy of important files and data.
Wait for a while for the process to complete in case of the backing procedure.
Once you finish all the points, then you may shut your “Recovery Drive” Window.
Note: In case, you are using Windows 8, then you will be asked whether you wish to remove the recovery files from your System or not. In case you have selected the “Yes” option, then you will be required a particular recovery drive for resetting and refreshing your System in the days to come.

3. Creating “CD or DVD” (System Repair Disk”

If you wish to create repair disk for your System, then you should abide by these steps:

Firstly, you have to navigate to the “Control Panel.”
Then, Tap on “Backup and Restore” option (In the case of Windows 7).
Now, hit the provided link “Create a System Repair Disk” located at the left side of your page.
Then, you have to hit the disk burner drive option having inserted DVD or CD in writable form.
After that, tap on the “Create Disk” tab to generate repair disk for your System.
Follow the onscreen instructions after burning the “system repair disk.”
Then, hit the “Close” tab there.
Finally, tap on “OK” to shut the window for creating “system repair disk.”
