How to Install your Presets.
Open Lightroom, and press the letter ‘G’ to make sure you are in the ‘Library’ module. Select all the presets in the bundle and drag and drop them into the Lightroom Library where all your photo thumbnails are. Your cursor will change to a ‘+’ symbol. Press your enter button repeatedly to confirm that you wish to install the free presets. Lightroom calls these ‘templates’, but they’re the same thing.
In some cases, you are able to alter the strength of the preset simply by selecting a low, medium or high variant. This allows you to fine tune the result to your personal taste. Just remember this:
(Normally they are part of a much larger bundle which retails for $99, so grab them while you still can!)
How to Use your Presets.
You can tweak the sliders of any of the 25 presets included in the bundle available for download below. I recommend you do this to achieve a truly custom look to your image.
Here are a few before/after examples for you to get an idea of what you can achieve.
My favourite of the 4 portrait presets is #2 (shown above), which does a fine job at lightening shadows to clean out minor imperfections in the skin, as well as bringing some light into the eyes. Remember that presets can’t take a badly lit portrait photo and make it look great – you have to concentrate on getting the picture right in camera before you apply the preset.
Most people know that you can change an image from colour to black and white in Lightroom just by clicking the ‘V’ key in the Develop module (see here for more Lightroom Tips). However, there’s so much more to a B&W conversion than just this.
If you’re lucky, a Lightroom preset can take your photo from looking flat and boring to lively and powerful with one click.

If you’re looking for free landscape Lightroom presets that will give your photos punch, clarity and vibrance, the HDR ones included in this bundle are perfect. Just choose the strength of the effect (Low vs High), then tweak the sliders from there.
