If not, Look at the icons near the digital clock for the Realtek speaker symbol (brown) and double left click to get settings window.

The problem I have with the drivers is that it sounds very tinny. In Windows 8.1 I had full rich sound, now it sounds like I have a cheap pair of speakers - no real bass. I know that it has to be the driver files as the speakers had great sound in 8.1.
This issue might be caused due to compatibility of hardware or drivers.

On my Dell Precision T3610, the bad driver was dated 06-16-2015 and had a version of 6.0.1.7535. After updating the driver, it was replaced with driver version 6.0.1.6075 dated 06-30-2015.

I have tried various versions of the Realtek HD Audio drivers from Dell (specifically for my computer), Realtek (directly), and Windows Update sites.

You need to visit the computer maker's website and download the Windows 10 driver for your Realtek audio driver.

From the start menu, go to Settings, Devices, Device Manager. In the device manager, find and expand the section "Sound, video and game controllers" Right click on the entry labeled "Realtek High Definition Audio." Select "Update Driver Software. " Select "Search automatically for updated driver software." After selecting this, an updated driver was installed and my sound was working.
This is because they made the computer and not Realtek.

Thanks for thinking of that. I have checked prior to posting here and yes, the speakers I have and the choice of speaker type is correctly set to Stereo - there is no Full-Range Speakers choice listed.

The version of the drivers mentioned in my post are specifically designed for Windows 10 - there should NOT be any compatibility problems with the driver set.

I ran into the same problem and followed the same steps. I was able to fix it by updating the driver directly from the device manager.
