Primus brought their quirky and unique funk metal sound to the Vetter Stone Amphitheater on Wednesday. The group opened with a song from their album Sailing the Seas of Cheese and continued to traverse through their catalog which spans from 1989 up to today. During one of their most well-known songs, My Name is Mud, frontman Les Claypool kept playing the main riff and greeted fans cheering on stage left. For an encore, the group played a song from their yet to be released album The Desaturating Seven, which is scheduled to be released on Sept. 27, 2017. The band Clutch opened for the Primus trio.
