GameSprite confirmed Ivy Valentine as a character in the new version SoulCalibur

To create an improved connection with the community, the team is keeping an eye not only on the SoulCalibur forums, which is a big SoulCalibur community but also on popular streamers like Maximillian Dood and Aris, Reddit and 4chan. Apparently, it was the reactions they have seen to the rumors regarding Zasalamel being a DLC character that made the team change their plans and include the character in the base roster.

As such we're taking a closer look at her as a character, both in-game and out, as we share History Behind the Warrior's video on her canonical details.
While the Soul Calibur games series has its fair share of popular homegrown fighters, there’s also a tradition of including platform-exclusive guest characters. No guest characters have been announced for the upcoming Soulcalibur 6 just yet, but new rumors may have prematurely revealed which guest fighters will be making their way to the PC versions of the game.

Zasalamel's past was not perfect as well. He had been banished from his clan - the Guardians of the Spirit Sword - after not following its sacred laws. This led to an adventure that allowed him to learn about reincarnation and gave him magical powers. He is known for his weapon, Kafziel.

However, rather than introducing more new characters this week, we’ve instead got a closer look at one of the already confirmed returning characters, Nightmare.

GameSprite confirmed that Ivy Valentine, one of the oldest and most recognizable Soulcalibur characters, will be fighting in Soulcalibur 6. Ivy first appeared in Soulcalibur in 1998 with her snake sword, dominatrix outfit, and silver hair. In Soulcalibur 6, it is revealed that she will be keeping her original appearance and scanty outfit like she has in the past. The gameplay reveal trailer below shows Ivy Valentine in action:

Basically, they’re tuning out the ludicrous demands.

The latest trailer takes a deep dive into the series mainstay with producer Motohiro Okubo providing more info into the character and the work that went into Nightmare’s Critical Edge.

Project Soul Calibur and GameSprite specifically don’t want some kind of Lost Swords situation to happen again and want a closer connection to the community.

The last SoulCalibur 6 characters to be revealed were Kilik, Xianghua, and Nightmare--all series veterans--and Groh, a newcomer. You can read our hands-on with SoulCalibur 6's new characters to find out what we thought of them.

Anyways those things and people mentioned are who and what they are most closely following and paying attention to get the best idea of public opinion and what people want in the game from various types of playerbases: casual fighting game players and gamers in general, fighting game veterans that don’t play Soul Calibur, and SoulCalibur 6eteran players are an example to let you know what playerbases they’re looking at.
