A 'Shattered Backboard' adidas NMD R1 Singapore Is In The Works

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 For Sale Satin has been seen in classic colorways like the 'Bred'/'Banned' color scheme as well as the 'Royal' colorway. Now, it looks like the iconic 'Shattered Backboard' colorway will get a luxe upgrade. The 'Shattered Backboard' Air Jordan I Satin matches the color blocking of the leather rendition of the kicks but ditch the perforated toe box and hangs on to the classic Wings logo in embroidered fashion as well as the white rubber midsole and orange outsole.

For those of you unaware of the history of the adidas NMD Human Race For Sale colorway, in 1985, Mike took his talents overseas to participate in a Nike-sponsored exhibition game in which he dunked so forcefully he shattered the backboard mid-game which caused a temporary stoppage in the friendly match. Of course, the jerseys Mike's team rocked were in an orange/black color scheme thus inspiring the colorway of the now coveted sneaker.

Personally, we're not sure how these joints would hold up over time and after a couple of wears but they are aesthetically pleasing visually. As of right now, there isn't a release date for the 'Shattered Backboard' adidas NMD R1 Singapore Satin but, the sneaker is rumored to be an extremely limited release with about 1,000 pairs available and set to retail at $175. Drop your thoughts on the kicks in the comments.
