The First Moscow State Medical University was established in 1758 as a faculty of Imperial Moscow University. However, in 1930, this institution separated and became an independent unit. The faculties are faculty of medicine, faculty of pharmacy, faculty of dentistry, faculty of preventive medicine, faculty of Pediatrics, Institute of professional education, and center of masters programs.
