How to Identify and Remove Malware on Android Phone?

Like computers, Android phones also have malware. It can be tricky to spot malware on phones than on computers. Some malicious apps trick you into believing that your device is getting rid of malware when, in reality, the malware is entering your phone. One such method is used by an app called ‘Ads Blocker.’ In the hood of saving your time by preventing you from watching unnecessary ads, this app makes way for the malware to enter your device. If you don’t update your phone regularly, chances are it may become a soft target for hackers, spammers, and malware. Using unprotected websites, Wi-Fi connections, or public internet connections are other common ways to introduce threats to your device.
How to Identify and Remove Malware on Android Phone

Malware has only two significant methods to enter your device. The first one is when it tricks you into granting permission to enter your mobile in exchange for some sensitive information. You are in control to grant or deny those permissions. Once it enters your device through any malicious app, it will start running in the background and will begin to interrupt your tasks. The other method is far more powerful, and it doesn’t even require your permission to enter the device. The malware introduces itself when your phone is at a vulnerable stage.

Now that you know how malware enters your phone let’s take a look at the ways you can identify when your device is vulnerable to this threat and methods to solve the issue. Following are the signs that you may notice when there is a malware on your device:

The icon of the app disappears after installation.
Unknown apps will appear on your device.
Your screen flashes with constant ads.
The battery starts draining and overheating than usual.
If you continue to believe that malware won’t bring major threats on your device, then here is a list of things that the malware can get access to:

Your contact lists
Device information
Phone number
Email IDs
Banking details

And, all of these details can cause identity theft, bankruptcy, or unlock the ways for other baleful tasks. The hackers and spammers can also sell all your information and bring you more ads, robocalls, SMS/MMS, and links for more harmful malware. It brings us towards the solution to get rid of the malware. The following methods will help prevent and cease the malware:

1. Regularly update the software of your mobile. The security experts continually emphasize the importance of an updated smartphone. Even if there is malware in your device, updates can cease them and patch all the vulnerabilities at the same time.
Install a renowned antivirus app and program to enjoy the benefits of their free services. But they also offer paid subscription plans which are great if you want to unlock some additional features. Some of the best programs are Kaspersky, Norton, Bitdefender, etc.
Do not install apps from any third-party platforms as they are not renowned, and that’s where most of the malicious malware resides.
Check the permission section of all the apps and tweak them accordingly, or, uninstall doubtful apps. But some apps are stubborn, and it gets difficult to remove them because the malware has gained the administrator privileges. If you are unable to delete any malicious app, seek help from the internet or previous app users.
Modern technology has its fair share of drawbacks, but most of them can be resolved quickly. Last year, there were more than 2 billion malware threats in the US alone. Using these methods will ensure the good digital health of your device and your data.
