On your phone:
1. Open the Spotify app, and go to the Home page.
2. Tap the Cog icon on the upper right corner. Under Playback, toggle Offline mode to green.

Q: How can I know the quality of the downloaded songs?
A: You can switch the download quality in the Spotify app on your phone. Go to Settings and under Music Quality, you can choose the download quality from normal to high and very high. Higher quality will use more data and disk space.
But on the desktop app, that doesn’t seem to have the options to choose download quality, you can only select the streaming quality from Low, Normal to High and Very High. If you download songs on your desktop app, the quality might be the same as the streaming quality.
Q: What will happen if I lose internet connection while downloading?
A: The download process will be stopped instantly, you can wait for the internet to restart the download. But if you cancel the download, it will delete all the songs you have previously downloaded in the playlist. If you have a big playlist, this could be catastrophic. But if the download still doesn’t resume after your internet is back, the only solution is to restart the download.
