Duck hunters will be on the prowl from Nov 2020 to Jan 2021, where are you?

Memories of Duck Hunting Seasons are among the best in the lot. For me, a worthwhile waterfowl season equates to a full harvest in my bag. Each year brings in new tidings and hopes for a better season. 2020 is no different. This year has been crazy so far. Therefore, the idea of taking a few days off in the wild is a big lure.

Just the other day, a group of hunters chatted me up about conservation, wildlife and the economy. They were supporters of Ducks Unlimited and avid waterfowl hunters, just like me. We discussed the sort of benefits we were providing to people and wildlife with our passion for hunting ducks.

Duck Hunting Season

Here, I intend to write about typical waterfowlers and how they contribute through their duck hunting trips.

Duck Hunting Season in 2020 -2021

Here’s how a waterfowler’s decision to go hunting starts impacting conservation and economic factors.

- The fees paid for buying a state fishing or hunting license crosses $750 million annually. Many state wildlife conservation units thrive on this source of revenue.

- The money generated is used for acquiring public hunting lands. It is also used for managing wildlife habitats or developing interesting outdoor recreation.

- The license fees are used for paying other expenditure as well. For instance, roads and facilities are constructed and maintained, equipment procured, etc.

- Administrative tasks. law enforcement and activities related to hunting and fishing create jobs, thereby helping the local economy.

Results!

It’s heartening to note how the National Wildlife Refuge System impacts local economies through hunting, conservation and other recreational activities. More than 34,000 U.S. jobs find support in them, especially in the rural areas. The annual collections range between $2.1 billion and $4.2 billion. That’s a good enough amount to accomplish the old and new conservation targets.

Way Forward with Duck Hunting in the Upcoming Season

Get your shotgun and ammunition in place. The duck hunting season is just around the corner and you will need time to prep up. As you plan ahead, you may want to confer with pro duck hunters for new tips and tricks of felling ducks. I do it every year. After all, that’s the only way I get to grow as a shooter.

Do know that success rates in Game Hunting are dependent on a wide range of factors and skills. Reach out to professionals in the field to make the most of your hunting trip, right away. FarWide is a great idea by having all potential outdoor activities and their regulations on a map at your fingertips.
All the best!
