As we know, human hair wigs are so delicate that you need to be extra careful with them. Here are 6 steps for drying the wig below.

  • Turn the wig outward from the right side and squeeze the water out gently.

Put the wig on the sink, and gently squeeze the fibers in your fist. However, do not wring or twist the fibers for this can cause them to become tangled or broken. Further more, when the wig is wet, brushing it is forbidden. And if you do that, the fibers will be damaged and wig will become frizz.

  • To remove the excess water by rolling the wig up in a towel.

Place the virgin hair wig down on the end of a clean towel. Begin with the end that has the wig on it, rolling the towel into a tight bundle. Press down on the towel, then tenderly unfold it and remove the wig. Suppose the wig is long, the strands must be flat out and not bunched up.

  • Apply the desired product to the wig.

In order to prevent the hair from getting tangled latter on, please spray the wig with some conditioning sprays. When spraying, make sure to place the bottle 25 to 30 cm (10 to 12 inches) away from the wig. And If it’s a curly hair wig, apply some styling mousse to it will be a better option.

  • Allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand out of direct sunlight.

If your wig is curly, please “scrunch” it with your fingers frequently. The word “scrunch” here means placing your hand under the end of the hair, lifting it up and then curling your fingers inward. If you use a Styrofoam wig head, make sure to install it in a stable wig holder. If necessary, fix the wig to the wig head with pins, if needed.

  • Blow dry the wig on your head if you are in a hurry.

First, use a hair dryer to dry the wig cap. After it’s dry, put the wig on your head and fix it with hairpins. When it is on your head, blow it dry. Make sure to use a low-heat setting to avoid damaging the fibers. Before putting the wig on, be sure that you pin your real hair up and cover it with a wig cap.

  • For more volume, allow the wig to dry upside down.

Turn the wig upside down, and then clamp the nape part of the wig cape to a pants hanger. To achieve this, you ought to move the pins on the pants hanger closer together. Hang the wig up in the shower for several hours for it can air dry; do not use the shower at this time.
