It is a drug widely used to treat various infections caused by parasites, including strongyloidosis (an ascaris infection) and to control onchocerciasis (a helminth infection that affects the skin and eyes). These are parasitic infections that can affect quality of life and lead to life-threatening conditions if left untreated, especially in people with weakened defense (immune) systems.Ivecop 12 Tablet 10 works by attaching itself to the inside of the parasite. It eventually paralyzes and destroys the parasite, or prevents the adult parasites from creating larvae for a time. Ivecop 12 Tablet 10 should be taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before meals. Take this medicine as directed by your doctor. Do not change the dose without the advice of your doctor. It is usually taken as a single dose. However, your doctor may prescribe a range of doses depending on your condition.Common side effects of Ivecop 12 Tablet 10 are headache, dizziness, body aches, nausea, or stomach pain. Orthostatic hypotension (dizziness when getting up too quickly from a sitting or lying position) can also occur. If you are using it for strongyloidosis and have had a history of(a worm infection), you may develop a headache or neck, trouble walking, blurred vision, changes in mental status, confusion, and seizures. If you use it for onchocerciasis, you may experience fever, rash, joint pain, swelling of the hands or feet, eye pain, vision problems, and weakness during initial treatment. Contact your doctor immediately if these symptoms do not go away or if they get worse.
