Disney Trip Planner

For those who are first-time cruisers, the process of making a reservation for an Disney Cruise vacation can seem daunting. Let's simplify this process.

The first thing to be accomplished is to decide where you would like to visit and for the length of time. Disney Cruise Line offers sailings that last between 3 and 15 days. Disney ships offer sailings to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Alaska as well as Europe and Mexico. Alaska, Europe, Canada and the Mexican Riviera. Itineraries can be found here.

It is possible to sail for 3-4 days in the Bahamas or to Disney's private island Castaway Cay. Disney offers a combination vacation which includes a 3 night stay at Walt Disney World and a four-night cruise, as well as a 4 night stay at Walt Disney World with a 3 night cruise. These vacations are also known as sea/land vacations.

When Planning an excursion with Disney Cruise Line

Next, decide when and where you want to go. Disney Trip Planner Line sails year round, but there are some times of the year when it is busier than other. The main holiday, summer vacations, as well as special sailings are popular travel times and are usually the more costly time to travel. Weather patterns also are an important factor when deciding when to go. The storm season in the Caribbean runs from June 1st until November 1st of every year. A cruise holiday can be expensive so it is advised that every tourist purchase insurance for travel.

After you have made the final decision regarding when, where and how long you want to travel to the vessel It's now time to start the most enjoyable part of booking the actual cruise.

The initial part of the process is to determine which category of stateroom will best suit your traveling group. Mast travelers will not be capable of affording the biggest and most luxurious stateroom, because they are restricted in number.

There are a variety of classifications for staterooms on the Disney ships. These are:

Inside Staterooms, the interior rooms on the ship offering no views towards the outside.

The rooms that are outside of Staterooms have either one large or two small windows.

Verandah Staterooms Exterior Rooms that have an opening door that slides open and a private balcony

Suites that have one or two bedroom suites, with sliding glass doors and private balconies

The descriptions on the website will help you choose the right stateroom category for your group.

The last step of the process is to find the most affordable cost for your cruise.

Disney Cruise Line's price is determined by a number of variables. Pricing is determined by your group size, the dates you have chosen, stateroom category and the location. Another factor that frequently is overlooked is the proportion of space on the ship that has already been sold. Disney Cruise travel agent Lines provide the term Tier pricing. Tier zero pricing is the most affordable price for any category of staterooms. This price is what the sailing dates of the ship were initially released to the public. The price will increase as the ship's staterooms are full and prices will increase. This is the reason for the old expression "the more you book the earlier the cheaper your rates" isn't just a marketing slogan.

There are other methods to save money on your cruise. Numerous travel agencies provide what is commonly referred to as "group pricing". The travel agency holds the staterooms for a certain number of guests on a specific date at the price of a certain amount. If the rate has increased however, the travel agency might have rooms available for customers at the lowest possible price. Booking group spaces is possible through the "group discount". It is a discount that is lower than the lowest pricing offered to the general public. Travel agencies offer other incentives to clients booking as part of their "group". The incentives will be determined by the agent. Group pricing isn't available for all sail dates and is usually limited on the dates available. Ask your agent to determine if group pricing is offered on your specific sailing date.

Disney Cruise Line also occasionally offers discounts for specific groups. Florida residents military personnel, travelers agents, and cast members can often enjoy reduced prices on specific sailing dates. Disney provides what is called "Magical Rates" to the general public on some of its less-full sail dates. Please be aware that the most popular holiday/school vacation sail dates will carry the most expensive prices and provide no discounts.

Many travel agencies offer rewards to clients who book through them. These often include credit for shipboard. This means that the agency will issue the credit onto your shipboard account. The credit can be utilized to make further cruise purchases on the ship. These credits can be utilized for drinks, photographs taken onboard shore excursions, spa treatments and many other things.
