The Timex Weekender is the cheapest watch on our list. Priced under $50 at most, this is a great looking unisex watch that's so cheap you don't have to worry about the scuffs and bumps that come with daily use. And don't let the Weekender name fool you, it's the perfect everyday watch. The polished silver-coloured case is a simple design with a round, fixed bezel and a small crown at 3 o'clock. At 38mm wide and 9mm thick, this watch will suit both men and women as long as you don't aim for a dainty or oversized dial. Like Seiko, this Timex watch is water resistant to 30 meters, so if it gets splashed, it could be damaged, which is a potential failure for some buyers.

Like the case, the cream, black or white dial has a very simple design, with no day or date functions. In fact, the only real decoration on the dial is the 24-hour numerals nestled within the large 12-hour Arabic numerals. The Weekender uses the ubiquitous Timex Indiglo technology to illuminate the entire dial in the dark, making it incredibly easy to read in the dark. Three simple hands measure hours, minutes and seconds; there is nothing pretentious here, just a nice, modest design. In fact, the dial is so clean and elegant in its simplicity that most onlookers unfamiliar with this watch will surely think it costs several times more than it actually does. Timex offers the Weekender with straps in a variety of colors and designs to suit every taste. As you would expect at this price point, the watch uses a battery-powered quartz movement. The first Casio G-Shock watches hit the market in 1983 and were as solidly built as they looked. The G-Shock series has gained immense popularity among people looking for the most rugged watch at a reasonable price. Casio has developed literally hundreds of models, some of which look like they are being worn by a futuristic robot soldier. However, the classic G-Shocks stayed true to the original design and added a bit of durability as well. Overall, it's arguably one of the best value for money and durability on the market, making it a great option for everyday wear.

We don't often review watches with a digital display on the Watch Review Blog, but the G-Shock's 80s-inspired display pairs well with the old-school boxy case. The day is displayed in the upper left corner and the date in the upper right corner (usually - more on that later). Using the silver "mode" button in the lower left corner of the case, you can switch between some functions of the battery-operated quartz movement of the watch. In addition to the standard time display, there is a timer and stopwatch function. Please note that when using the timer and stopwatch functions, the date disappears from its place in the upper right corner, and the current time is displayed in its place. The Indiglo style backlight is controlled by the bottom right button.

Best Wrist Brands : Diameters

Waterproof to 200 meters, these G-Shocks can work just fine as a diving watch or as a cheap mallet. At 45mm wide and 15mm thick, the resin case is quite large, but the small dial window doesn't make it look as big as it does when it's on the wrist. There is a lot of text on the bezel and the black screen surrounding the watch face, from brand and model to the function of each of the 4 buttons and watch specifications. All of this gives the G-Shock what I call a "retro-sporty" look. The Aquadiver Regatta from Stuhrling is a highly functional diving watch at a very reasonable price. Speaking of price, you may notice that Stuhrling lists an MSRP of $595: I'm not sure why they listed such a high price, but rest assured that most retailers offer this watch for just under $100, so this watch meets our criteria. for this list.

Why Watch Matters : Why The Styles Matters ?

The 42mm stainless steel case is water resistant to 200 meters. A nice feature not normally found at this price point is the screw-down crown, which prevents accidental pulling out of the crown underwater. The white-on-black unidirectional bezel matches the color scheme of the dial and tracks time in 10-minute intervals, with the first 15 minutes displayed in additional hashes to emphasize traditional decompression intervals.

The black dial is covered with Krysterna Crystal, a material that is more scratch resistant than mineral and more resistant to shatter than sapphire. Large and legible modern-style type is used for the hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, while index marks are used for the rest of the hour markers. All of the hour markers, as well as the hour and minute hands, are filled with lume, making this watch as easy to read at night as it is during the day, at least as long as the lume remains luminous. Hidden between 4 and 5 o'clock is a small round date window, so subtle that it escaped my attention when I first looked at the dial. Despite the fact that Sturhling is an American company, the Aquadiver uses a Swiss quartz movement, which is proudly announced on the dial at the 6 o'clock position. The Aquadiver comes with a 22mm wide stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp.
