If you’ve been looking for the perfect Irish whiskey, or just a new spirit to try, then Blue Spot has come to America. This brand was created in 1815 by Jameson’s Distillery and is made using a malted barley grain that gives it its distinctive taste.
The History of Blue Spot

Blue Spot whiskey was founded in 1887 by Jameson whiskey legend John Jameson. The brand drew its name from a blue spot on the neck of the bottle, which was meant to be an indication of quality. Blue Spot quickly became one of Ireland’s most popular whiskeys and continues to be made today.

A few years ago, we decided it was time for us at Old Town Whiskey Co. to create our own interpretation of this classic spirit: Blue Spot Whiskey! We worked with our friends at Teeling Distillery in Dublin (who produce some amazing Irish whiskeys) on developing our own unique blend using single malt Irish grain whiskey aged for three years in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in port wine casks for six months–giving it notes of cherry and chocolate with hints of vanilla behind them all
The Blue Spot Whiskey Tasting

When you open the bottle, you’ll notice a strong aroma of honey and oak with hints of vanilla. The taste is sweet with notes of caramel and cinnamon that linger on your tongue. It has a smooth finish that leaves you wanting more!

Overall, this whiskey is very good! I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice glass of whiskey at the end of their day or just wants something different from what they are used too
