Each of us, aged 35–40 years old, begins to worry about the question: how will we solve the problems of our parents when they grow old and cannot take care of themselves? And at the same time - can we rely on the help of our own children in old age? The Polish "Polityka" investigated this problem in detail - and it turned out that the situations in Poland and Belarus, the two countries of the former socialist camp, differ little, and our difficulties are more or less the same.

Try to write on the online forum that you can’t stand it anymore, that you have run out of physical and mental strength to endure mother’s aggression with Alzheimer's disease or father’s stench with bedsores, look at their torment that your finances are at zero. A dozen moral rigorists will immediately answer you: “And your mother didn’t wipe you in your childhood, didn’t get up at night, didn’t work ?! Do you remember the fifth commandment? ”

Little is said about aging society. We are fully informed that human life is lengthening (XX century gave a woman 33 years to Europe and 29 to a man), that old age are four main problems: loneliness (26% of respondents in Ja Kobieta fund surveys), lack of money (30 %), lack of independence and dependence on others (60%) and poor health (71%). And also, that in this old age presented to us, diseases grow like a snowball, including Alzheimer's disease that spreads fear. 30 million patients in the world, 200 thousand in Poland, by 2050 this figure will triple.

Well, yes, we all need to take care of our parents. After all, only thanks to their care and support we have grown and are full of strength.

Old parents should be cared for by their children. I never understood why some people take their parents to a nursing home. I think you can always find a good way

Not so long ago, my friend puzzled over a solution to this problem. She really didn’t want to give her father to a nursing home and she didn’t want to take a stranger either. So she was lucky to find the CDPAP program - this is a program not to hire an unknown person, but to find and hire her relatives or friends (possessing the necessary skills) who participate in this program. You can find more information about CDPAP by going to allheartcare

It's a difficult question. Not everyone can accept the help of their children.

The issues of ageing the world's population have long been relevant. Philadelphia Corporation for Aging https://myallamericancare.com/area-agency-on-aging/ provides a range of services for the elderly. As practice has shown it is not just home care. Older people need much more.
PCA Philadelphia was founded in 1973 and is the fourth largest in the nationwide network of Area Agencies on Aging and is the largest AAA in the state of Pennsylvania. Phila Corp for Aging’s mandate is to “facilitate the area-wide development and implementation of a comprehensive coordinated system for providing long-term care in home and community-based settings, in a manner responsive to the needs and preferences of older individuals and their family caregivers.”

We simply have to take care of our old parents, but sometimes it is very difficult. Now I’m looking for any ways to pay for my mom’s treatment in the hospital. I never thought that treatment is so expensive.

When my mother fell ill with a stroke, I was not ready for such expenses and as a result I had accumulated a lot of debt, but the treatment was not finished yet. Then I was lucky to contact the medical bill consolidation https://debtquest.com/how-to-consolidate-medical-debt/ which helped me consolidate my medical debts and saved me from the problems associated with paying medical bills and worrying about debt

You also need to care about them. I used to have a drug-addicted friend and we used to ask for help https://addictionresource.com/drug-rehab/inpatient-rehabs/ which was a safeguard to me. They helped to solve all problems with addiction, with different diets that were needed.
