CDMA…

Solar Battery Size Guidetag:www.onfeetnation.com,2023-04-14:6595159:BlogPost:316658462023-04-14T13:23:29.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

Here is a size guide for the more common solar PV systems in Australia. Here we have outlined the most common kW size solar panel systems and approximately what size solar battery will offer the best value (or best energy autonomy).

Note that these figures are estimates only, and the right solar battery size for you will always depend on your unique circumstances.

What Size Solar Battery Do I Need for a 3kW System?
For a 3 kW solar PV system with 5-10 kWh daily energy consumption, you can use a 4 kWh battery to maximise returns or a 22 kWh battery to maximise energy independence (and yield about three days of energy autonomy).

For 11-15 kWh daily energy consumption, use a 4 kWh battery. For 16-20 kWh (the average daily energy consumption in an Australian household), you need a 3 kWh battery.

What Size Solar Battery Do I Need for a 5kW System?
For a 5 kW solar PV system with 5-10 kWh daily energy consumption, you need a 4 kWh battery to maximise the returns or a 35 kWh battery to maximise energy independence. For 11-15 kWh daily energy consumption, choose a 7 kW battery.

For 16-20 kWh (the average daily energy consumption in an Australian household), you need a 6 kWh battery.

What Size Solar Battery Do I Need for a 10kW System?
For a 10 kW solar PV system with 5-10 kWh daily energy consumption, you need a 4 kWh battery to maximise returns or a 35 kWh battery to maximise energy independence. For 11-15 kWh daily energy consumption, you need an 8 kWh battery to maximise returns or a 65 kWh battery to maximise energy independence.

For 16-20 kWh (the average daily energy consumption in an Australian household), use an 11 kWh battery to maximise returns or a 90 kWh to maximise energy independence.

What Is kWp in Solar?
kWp stands for kilowatt Peak. It is the nameplate rating of solar PV systems. It refers to the amount of power produced in bright sunshine or under standard laboratory test conditions.

A solar energy professional can give you a customised estimate of the best solar battery size for your unique system, so it’s always best to get an individual calculation performed. However, this gives you a guideline on what size solar battery to consider.

Solar batteries may seem like a de facto great idea, if you have solar panels, a solar battery is great too. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, and there are a lot of factors to consider. Depending on the location of your home, the direction of your solar panels and your general climate will all affect how efficiently your solar panels work and how helpful a solar battery will be.

If you are unsure if a solar battery is worth it where you live, it’s best to ask for help. Contacting a solar energy specialist will give you a better understanding of whether a solar battery will make its money back and be worth the investment.
Reasons for a Solar Shedtag:www.onfeetnation.com,2023-02-20:6595159:BlogPost:311542962023-02-20T15:15:40.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

In most cases, you won't be able to supply all your household electricity needs from a solar shed. So why invest in solar panels kit for shed at all? Here are a few key reasons to consider.

Supplement an Existing System
Solar panels are long-term commitments, lasting 25 or more years.1 While this is sufficient for some, electricity needs might change over that time period for others.

Whether your family is expanding or you've shifted to working full-time at home, installing solar panels on a shed roof can help supply any extra needs.

Heat Additional Structures
Supplying energy to heat an out-building, like a greenhouse or the shed itself, may turn a three-season building into a four-season one. Grow your own food year-round in a heated greenhouse, or turn your shed into a year-round art studio.

Charge an Electric Vehicle
You can use the roof of your shed to recharge your electric vehicle (EV). The solar energy can flow directly into your EV or be stored in a battery to be used later.

Create a Virtual Power Plant
Store excess electricity in a solar+storage battery so that you can participate in a “virtual power plant,” where individual homeowners aggregate their solar batteries and sell energy to their electric utility. The electricity you've stored in your battery can earn you money in times of peak electricity demand when the cost of electricity is high.

Store Emergency Power
Perhaps instead of an entire rooftop solar system to power your house, you want to generate enough electricity to store in a battery backup system in case of power outages. A solar shed can be used for that.

Shed Size and Structure
If you know your "why" for a solar shed, you can move on to specifics. The first question is how many solar panels do you need for the roof of your shed.

Consider that the average solar panel is 5' x 3'.2 A relatively large-sized 10' x 12' shed with a roof has a minimum of 120 square feet, capable of fitting six to eight standard solar panels.

It's also important to consider the structural suitability of your shed, as it may not be able to support the weight of solar panels. If you're unsure, a solar installer or structural engineer can determine if your roof is structurally sound enough to support solar panels.

Sunlight Exposure
Solar panel efficiency depends partly on the amount of sunlight available, as well as the intensity of that light.

A gabled roof may have the advantage of attracting more sunlight over more hours of the day. The sun is at its most intense during the middle hours of the day, which a flat roof is fully capable of taking advantage of. It may turn out that your shed receives more sunlight than your home, making it a better option.

On the other hand, obstructions—such as other buildings and tree limbs—may create limiting factors. Whether these obstructions are fixed will help you determine if a solar shed is worthwhile.
Do you need a portable solar panel for camping?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-12-15:6595159:BlogPost:303333382022-12-15T12:46:48.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

Do you need a portable camping solar panel, or does it just add bulk to your backpack? Let's take a look at the pros and cons of these chargers.

Our increasing reliance on technology is a bit of a double-edged sword, isn't it? On the one hand, if it has no effect on mental health, spending time staring at screens is certainly bad for your eyes, and hiding in the woods for a few days away from the green movement of technology seems like a good cure. But on the other hand, advances in technology mean that even with a fire ban, you can go into the wilderness and still enjoy a GPS location, make a nice cup of coffee to start your day, and enjoy plenty of lighting at night. That may sound great to you, but of course, the more camping technology you bring with you, the more you need a sustainable way to keep all those devices charged. So, do you need a portable solar panel when camping? Let's take a look at this increasingly popular (and cheap) piece of camping technology to help you decide if it's worth it.

Portable solar chargers are like the solar panels you might put on the roof of your home to make your house more sustainable, but smaller and usually encased in protective plastic or mesh panels or boxes.

What is a portable solar panel for camping?
If you've been camping or hiking lately, you've probably seen people plugging their phones into small folding panels that look a bit like tablets from a distance. Portable solar chargers are like the solar panels you might put on the roof of your home to make your house more sustainable, but smaller and usually encased in protective plastic or mesh panels or boxes. Some smaller panels are single cells, while larger ones may have two or three pieces folded into a slim package. While some so-called portable camping solar panels are larger and can be placed on the roof of your van or car, a true portable camping solar panel can easily be slipped into your backpack for long hikes.

Portable solar panels will have a variety of jacks to provide power for different devices, such as USB for charging your cell phone, GPS watch, headlamp and camera, and even a DC outlet for charging camping coffee makers, camping lights, and even electric camping coolers.

Portable solar panels are usually powered by lithium batteries that you can charge at home from a power source, and then when you're in the wilderness, you can put it next to your tent in the sun and keep it fully charged when your devices start to run low. Some portable solar panels are even designed to be attached to your hiking backpack so they can absorb sunlight as you walk.
What Does "12V" Mean?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-12-10:6595159:BlogPost:302740172022-12-10T13:38:30.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

To find out what is the difference between 12v and 24v in the battery systems, we ought to understand the basic definition for each first. 12V tells us that the battery supplies 12 volts under a nominal load. The same principle holds for a 24V battery bank in that it provides 24v lithium ion battery. 12V LiFePo4 batteries are utilized in most vehicles as a result of the electrical parts like the starter, lighting, and ignition systems are designed to control on 12 volts.

The 12-volt rating of a battery is the nominal voltage and it should be slightly higher or lower reckoning on the state of charge and loads. We typically use 24V battery systems in larger trucks and buses because of the vehicle’s higher power needs and long cable runs. you’ll also look at 24V utilized in larger boats and a few RVs with elaborate solar systems.

What is a 24V Battery?
One way to form a 24V system is to use a 24V battery. 24V LiFePo4 batteries are less common than their 12V counterpart and are tougher to come back by. 24V batteries are comparatively expensive.

However, they are doing take up no space than running more batteries in a series. So, if space could be a concern, a 24V battery is also a stronger selection for you.

12V System advantages
Most vehicles use 12V systems as parts used in vehicles are designed to control 12V. When it involves RVs, most appliances like recreational vehicle refrigerators and lighting also work on 12V. 12V systems only need a battery and work well for low-power applications and short wire runs.

12-volt systems are nice for their simplicity and most recreational vehicle appliances work with them. Smaller solar systems are also easy to attach to them.

24V System advantages
24V systems are helpful as a result you’ll use smaller diameter wire and cut back electrical phenomenon by twice. If using smaller diameter wires will cut back wiring prices and reduce the space needed to run wiring. This is often particularly necessary wherever long wire runs are needed.

But wait, however, are you able to run a smaller wire with more voltage?

You can run a wire 2x smaller than a constant 12V circuit. This is often due to the higher voltage needing less current to provide a similar power. Since we may be running less current or amps, we can use a smaller wire. This is often a similar reason power is transmitted on power lines at terribly high voltages. The wires are often many, smaller, and carry lots of additional power!

When building out larger portable solar systems victimization higher voltages like 24 volts or 48 volts is extremely helpful. This is often Geo Astro RV’s set up with thousands of watts of solar.

In addition to smaller wires, 24-volt systems operate additional with efficiency in motors and inverters. Often, a similar solar charge controller operational on 24V vs 12V can handle doubly the solar input.
What is AGM technology?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-10-18:6595159:BlogPost:295835032022-10-18T13:45:55.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

In agm marine battery (also called starved electrolyte), there is a thin ultra-fine fiberglass mat sandwiched between the plates that are saturated with battery acid to about 95% of what they can hold. This mat is then packed in between the plates and slightly compressed, then welded/soldered in place. Because the plates and mats are packed fairly tight, they are almost immune to vibration.

AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) sealed battery technology was originally invented in 1980, and developed and introduced in 1985 for military aircraft where power, weight, safety, and reliability were paramount considerations. The Concorde AGM batteries are VRSLAB (Valve Regulated Sealed Lead-Acid Battery), sometimes referred to as VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead-Acid). Several manufacturers now produce AGM batteries, but Concorde was the first to develop the technology for commercial non-military use.

AGM Batteries Are Not Gelled Batteries:
Concorde AGM batteries are NOT a gelled electrolyte. It is considered a "Recombinant Gas Absorbed Electrolyte" battery. This cuts water loss by up to 98%. Loss of charge due to self-discharge is 3 to 10 times better than with conventional gelled, and 5 to 50 times less than traditional flooded batteries. The gasses recombine almost 100% within the battery, reducing Hydrogen emissions to a level far below most battery types, and less than half of the lower explosive limit for Hydrogen. In addition, they do not have the charge and discharge current limitations that most gelled batteries have.

Concorde AGM battery technology has continued to develop and offer improvements over other sealed battery technologies. AGM technology has become the next step in the evolution of both starting and deep cycle sealed batteries for marine, RV, and aviation applications. These are the same batteries that the US Military uses in many of it's armored and standard vehicles. This "next generation" technology delivers increased safety, performance, and service life over all other existing sealed battery types, including gel technology. All Concorde AGM batteries carry a one-year full warranty - most gelled cells carry only a 90-day warranty.

AGM batteries have much better resistance to vibration and shock due to their construction than most flooded batteries. The plates are packed in with the glass mat, reducing plate movement and vibration to nearly zero. In addition, because the glass mats are not totally saturated and the liquid does not expand to cause plate and case damage, AGM batteries can withstand freezing - you will get little or no output from a frozen battery, but at least it will not ruin the battery or break the case.

Concorde AGM batteries meet MIL-SPEC B8565J and FAR 23.1353, 25.1353(c), 27.1353, 29.1353(3), 25.853(a). All Concorde AGM batteries are shippable without restriction by any means of transportation, including air. Hazardous labeling is not required.
Should I Buy an Electric Bicycle?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-10-10:6595159:BlogPost:294596302022-10-10T12:39:42.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

A few months ago, Graham Hill (the founder of the site you're reading this on) asked me for some help in choosing an electric road bike. I wanted to help, but I knew that my knowledge of electric bikes was limited - there are so many models, with progress being made all the time in battery tech and power electronics - so I pointed him to someone who I knew was a real expert: Court Rye, the e-bike demigod behind ElectricBikeReview.com. But Graham's question also made me realize that he certainly wasn't the only one trying to figure out if an electric bicycle was right for him, what were the pros and cons, and if it did make sense, where to begin and which models to have a look at first.

This led to the interview below, where Court generously shares the e-bike wisdom that comes from having reviewed 300+ models since he started covering the space in 2012 (prolific guy!).

Why Buy an Electric Bike?
Well, electric bicycles offer the same great benefits as traditional bicycles including cost savings (no licensing or insurance required), improved well-being, and connection with community.

The real advantage to ebikes in my view is efficiency in climbing hills or fighting the wind combined with better range. If you experience knee pain or exercise-induced asthma, for example, electric bikes can breath new life into the sport of cycling. They might convince your friend or significant other to join you on the trails more often or they might enable you to commute to work in extreme heat without perspiring so much. I've owned cars and mopeds before and neither felt as safe or refreshing as cycling along community paths, away from traffic.

Electric bikes remove many of the roadblocks and challenges that people face with traditional pedal-powered cycles but they aren't perfect. They can be expensive, complex, and heavy which is a real pain if the battery runs out halfway.

Which E-Bike Conversion Kits Are Best?
Since the early days of electric bikes in the United States (starting in 1999 with the EV Global Motors Ebike from Lee Iacocca) frame styles and drive characteristics have really proliferated.

In addition to simple DIY kits there are also systems like the Ridekick Power Trailer now which add ebike performance in addition to storage utility! This system in particular is even easier than installing a kit and can be easily shared between family members and friends using regular bikes or recumbents as a platform.
Do chemicals in the beauty products influence our health?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-08-23:6595159:BlogPost:288525362022-08-23T11:42:54.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

Cosmetics and personal care items women use every day are packed with a constellation of chemicals that health advocates say could be connected to a host of health problems.

The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), the trade group representing 90% of the US beauty industry, says their products are “among the safest” regulated by the FDA, and maintains that fears of certain chemicals are overblown.

“The number of substances on a country’s restricted list is a misleading measure of the effectiveness of regulation in protecting human health and safety,” Lezlee Westine, the president and CEO of the Personal Care Products Council, said in an emailed statement on EWG’s analysis. “The materials cited as examples by EWG are not, and would never be, used as cosmetic ingredients because they are pesticides, narcotics, and radioactive substances.” (EWG’s list includes current cosmetic ingredients like formaldehyde, parabens and toluene.)

While PCPC supports regulatory reforms, Westine stopped short of endorsing the Personal Care Products Safety Act, a current legislative push to increase FDA authority. “We believe well-crafted reforms – grounded in science – will support the industry’s ability to innovate and further strengthen consumer confidence in the products they trust and enjoy every day,” Westine said.

Data on real-world chemical exposure is limited, and most safety assessments look at one chemical and one source at a time. “But we are not using just one product,” Leiba said. “Your exposure in just one day can greatly outweigh what this one company said was the low dose you had in your product, which is why we are concerned.”

Women, especially black women, have been found to have a higher body burden of certain chemicals found in cosmetics, including parabens and phthalates. Both are endocrine-disrupting chemicals, which mimic human hormones. Of particular concern to researchers, they can have effects at very small doses and have been linked to numerous health issues.

“If you think about the chronic conditions that the world is experiencing now – like fertility problems, thyroid conditions, diabetes, ADHD – these are all heavily impacted by hormones,” said Carol Kwiatkowski, the executive director of The Endocrine Disruption Exchange (TEDX), a not-for-profit research foundation focused on reducing harmful chemicals in the environment. “Prevalence rates are skyrocketing. We just don’t know what is causing it. It’s undeniable that environmental chemicals are part of the picture. And we just continue to ignore them.”

More than 200 possible endocrine-disrupting chemicals currently in use in cosmetics and personal care products have been identified by TEDX.
What is the Clean Beauty Movement?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-08-15:6595159:BlogPost:287630892022-08-15T06:34:53.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

Clean beauty is associated with natural beauty, green beauty, and all other types of beauty that deviate from the norm.

But at its core, what does the clean beauty movement stand for?

Since there’s no legal or official definition, many brands have taken it upon themselves to define clean beauty according to their agendas.

It’s time to settle this debate once and for all. So, what is clean beauty?

To us, a clean beauty product must satisfy these two main criteria:

1. Clean ingredients
At its core, clean beauty means that you can use a product without risking your own health. The ingredients list must contain only safe, clean ingredients.

What constitutes “clean” ingredients? At the Good Face Project, we analyze each and every cosmetic ingredient and give grades based purely on safety and toxicity.

To us, a clean beauty product is free of hormone disruptors and carcinogens. We developed the Good Face Index, which takes hundreds of thousands of scientific studies and research papers on cosmetic ingredients and turns them into easy-to-understand safety ratings. This makes it easy to see if a product is safe based on its ingredients. Essentially, a product is only as clean as its worst ingredient.

2. Transparent labels
When a beauty brand makes an effort to list all of its ingredients and label accordingly, it is on the right path to clean beauty. However, not all brands are transparent.

A good example of lack of transparency in the beauty industry is including fragrance in beauty products. Fragrance is not an ingredient, but since the industry is highly unregulated, companies can hide ingredients under the umbrella term “fragrance.”

Another example of non-transparent labels is misleading the consumer based on packaging. Brands can falsely label their products with buzzwords like “natural” and “eco” in order to capture the conscious consumer’s attention. This is called “greenwashing” and we’ll elaborate in a moment.

Clean beauty simply doesn’t contain mystery ingredients, and clean beauty certainly doesn’t claim to be something that it’s not.
One skin care ideal that has changed over time is skin colortag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-08-12:6595159:BlogPost:287323502022-08-12T05:11:50.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

One skin care ideal that has changed over time is skin color. American ideals of skin health have always been tied to problematic ideas about race and economic class. White Americans have idealized a pale complexion for most of American history.
One skin care ideal that has changed over time is skin color. American ideals of skin health have always been tied to problematic ideas about race and economic class. White Americans have idealized a pale complexion for most of American history. A pale, creamy complexion and smooth, white hands not only signified that one was racially white, they also demonstrated one’s wealth by implying that a man—but far more importantly a woman—did not perform manual labor or work outside in the sun.

Because nineteenth-century Americans subscribed to an idealized version of “natural” beauty, the use of beauty products to give the appearance of a white, smooth, clear complexion was looked upon as false and indecent. Women were supposed to “earn” their good complexion through good health practices and moral living. Powders and lotions often advertised themselves as “invisible” in order to satisfy the moral prohibition on artificial beauty.

Despite the social prohibition on cosmetic use, women often secretly sought and used cosmetic skin preparations. Skin color and clarity provided such economic and social advantage that many women were willing to use products that were harmful—these skin products often contained toxic mercury, arsenic, and lead—in an attempt to get closer to the ideal. Though doctors and women’s magazines railed against the dangers inherent to cosmetics, many women likely believed manufacturers’ packaging claims that their cosmetic products were “perfectly safe.”

Both white women and women of color used products to bleach their skin, to lighten or conceal discolored areas, and to soothe and smooth irritated skin and acne. However, few mainstream cosmetic companies marketed to or acknowledged African American consumers, and most common skin care products were not manufactured in colors to suit darker skin. For example, talcum powder, used to protect and soothe skin while also absorbing the shine of perspiration, in its natural state provided a white tint to the skin. It was also available in pinkish or “flesh” (white skin-toned) tints.

In response, women such as Madame C. J. Walker and Annie Turnbo Malone started successful companies to supply darker skinned women with skin care and beauty products. Notably, neither company originally carried skin bleaching products. In fact, Walker asserted that her products were especially appropriate for the skin and the self-esteem of woman who must do manual labor.
Classification and labelling of substances and preparationstag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-08-03:6595159:BlogPost:286317332022-08-03T02:34:12.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

inform the general public about the hazards and adequate precautionary measures for handling and disposal in order to prevent accidents and harmful effects among the users. Turkesterone for sale chemicals companies are major suppliers of bulk petrochemicals to large industrial customers.

Substances are categorised according to the identified properties in one or more categories of danger expressing physico-chemical, toxicological and environmental properties. Only classification with respect to human health is addressed in this section, i.e. classification based on toxicological properties.

The following danger categories are related to health:
Very toxic
Toxic
Harmful
Corrosive
Irritant
Sensitising
Carcinogenic
Mutagenic
Toxic to reproduction

The classification into these nine danger categories is based on existing data and reflects the present level of knowledge and possibilities for testing the various endpoints. These criteria are continuously developed as more know-ledge is generated. DEPA has especially worked to promote more adequate criteria for neurotoxicity, immunotoxicity, reproductive toxicity and impact on the endocrine system. This is also to be better prepared for handling the endocrine disrupters in relation to the endpoints for this newly acknowledged effect.

For endocrine disruption, appropriate test methods have still not been developed for the various endpoints, and this effect is therefore not considered by the classification system. Also for some of the well-known effects like neurotoxicity and respiratory allergy, the test methods have been questioned and are still not fully developed.

Because of the problems with testing for chronic brain damage, it has been difficult to reach agreements in EU about how to evaluate and classify many organic solvents with regard to neurotoxicity in the past. Many organic solvents were only classified with regard to flammability in EU, and Denmark has used the safeguard clause in several situations in order to introduce a classification reflecting the neurotoxic potential as expressed through the risk phrase R48/20 (Danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure through inhalation). Recently, two additional risk phrases have been introduced to cover typical solvent-related health hazards, namely R66 (Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking) and R67 (Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness).

The criteria for classification do not focus on sensitive subgroups, e.g. children. However, a number of R- and S-phrases are specifically related to the protection of children and/or pregnant women.
What Is Polyquaternium-10?tag:www.onfeetnation.com,2022-07-28:6595159:BlogPost:285546292022-07-28T06:39:36.000ZTina Yuhttps://www.onfeetnation.com/profile/TinaYu

Polyquaternium 10 is a white granular powder which has got a particular odour that is similar to the amine. It is readily soluble in water. Polyquaternium-10 is a polymeric quaternary ammonium salt of hydroxyethyl cellulose. It acts as an excellent anti-static agent, film former and fixative in all your skincare and hair care products. It is a key ingredient in almost all cosmetic products due to its conditioning ability.

Generally, polyquaternium which is often referred to as polyquat is a cationic polymer with several positive (poly) charges on it. These positive charges are found on the Nitrogen due to which it forms a quaternary ammonium group. Hence known as polyquaternium, the name is then followed by the number. Eg: Polyquaternium 1, 7, 10 etc. This number has nothing to do with the chemical structure, but instead, this number signifies the listing order in which the polyquat was registered with the INCI (International Nomenclature For Cosmetic Ingredients).

Role Of Polyquaternium-10 In Cosmetics
Polyquaternium-10 is a cationic polymer with excellent conditioning properties, hence extensively used in many skincare and hair care products. The positive charges which are found on Polyquaternium-10 effectively bind with the hair which is negatively charged. When the hair gets damaged either due to the use of excessive styling products or hair treatments, cysteic acid is formed which makes your hair even more negatively charged. The positively charged Polyquaternium-10 easily binds with the negatively charged hair at several points through ionic interaction, thereby helps to smooth out the cuticle of your strands. Thus Polyquaternium-10 has a good conditioning effect on the hair. Its anti-static effect and film-forming ability helps to keep your strands soft, smooth, silky and well-nourished preventing frizzy and dry hair.

Polyquaternium-10 has the same conditioning effect on your skin as well. It forms a thin film over the surface of your skin and helps to keep it soft, supple and well moisturized.

Due to these beauty-enhancing properties, Polyquaternium-10 is extensively used in a wide range of cosmetic products.

Benefits Of Polyquaternium-10 In Skincare
Polyquaternium-10 is a water-soluble cationic polymer with excellent conditioning ability. It acts as a conditioning agent in many skin care products which make your skin soft and supple. It attracts moisture from the surrounding and forms a thin film on the surface of your skin, thus helps to moisturize your skin. It also helps to retain the moisture on your skin for a longer period of time as the thin film acts as a barrier on the surface of your skin preventing water loss. It also acts as a surfactant in many skincare products. The surfactant lowers the surface tension between water and grime, thus facilitates the easy removal of dust, dirt and grime from the surface on the skin. Hence Polyquaternium -10, is used in a wide range of skin care products such as creams, lotions, moisturizers and facial
